Chapter 25

Damian's pov

I opened the door and let Cassandra inside. "Hey~" she said sweetly, and honestly, if it wasn't for her, Julia would have never ran off and we would have talked this out weeks ago. "How's it been going?" I ask, letting her in. She sits on my bed like she always does. "Meh. Still trying to find a home for three more kittens. Are you sure you don't want one?" She asked, making me think. "Yeah, actually. I'd take one." I said, making her eyes light up. "Really?! You can take Ginger! She's tiny and playful!" She said, all excitedly. She's cute when she's ready, I think that's why I liked her. She is like a little child, but then that's only quarter of her. The rest is full on bitch.

"Yeah, but I need you to help me again remember? Enough with the chatter." I walked up to her and lifted her chin, making her blush. "I need  you to track Lucinda down." I smile, walking back a few steps, watching her face drop with embarrassment. "W-what?" She stuttered, making me feel pleased as hell. "You heard me." She sighed and got up, folding her arms.

"You do know how hard that's going to be right? Her mother was the one who did 84% of the barrier we have up. My mother contributed but that doesn't mean I get everything from her. And before you say anything, I am VERY sure that Lucinda is almost as strong as her mom. This could take months for me to do if she's using magic. And I'm sure she is. Very sure." She said, matter of factly.

"Cassy, just do this for me." I sighed, running my fingers through my hair. She sighed deeply. "Dame, she is now hunted by the king. KING." "When I find her, I'll take down the barrier, I'll be the king. You don't have to worry about getting in trouble. I'll protect you." I said, making her narrow her eyes. "Your an idiot. A fvcking idiot. Do you think your father will let you do anything against his order?" She asked, making me role my eyes. "Then, we'll leave. Tonight. I'll take Dixie and Mrs. Tanner." I said. She gave me a stupid look the shook her head. "I can't get through to you Damian Maxwell. I hope I'll be rewarded." She sighed, getting up and stretching. "The best car money can bye?" I asked, making her perk up. "Y-you're serious?" She stuttered. I nodded and she jumped around like a little child. "Oh thank you thank youuuuuu! Your like, the bestist friend ever!"

She ran over to me and hugged me, and suddenly my phone started ringing. I picked it up and saw Julia's number pop up, and froze. Cassandra walked over to me and took the phone. With a bored expression, she clicked answer and put it to my ear.

"Hello? Damian?" Asked a small voice. I quickly caught myself and answered.
"J-Julia?"
"Yeah....it's me." Her voice was soft, calm, quite.
"Hey, what's wrong? Where are you?"
"With my family."
"Where Julia?" I was getting restless.
"A place. I can't really tell you. But that's not why I called." Her voice raised a bit, making me shut up.
"I called because I have something....important to tell you." Her voice cracked, I could tell she was struggling to continue. She took a deep breath and continued.
"You're going to be a father, Damian."

I nearly dropped the phone.

"I'm what?.....Julia are you just trying to hurt me or something?"
"DO YOU THINK I'D LIE ABOUT SOMETHING LIKE THAT? W-who do you think I am.....Damian I love you. I don't want my child to grow up without her daddy." I could tell Julia was crying rivers. I could hear it in her voice.
"Julia, stop crying. I'll get to you, tell me where you are."
"No."
"Why?"
"Do you think I'm just going to tell you? Then your father will find us and kill Lucy? I can't do that to her. She doesn't deserve to die."
"Neither do you, or anyone here. I'm going to expose that bitch for killing my mother. I'll find you, even if you don't tell me where you are." I said, making it clear she has no choice.
Classy took the phone from me and put it next to her ear.
"Can I be a god mother? I'm so sorry for being a bitch to you. I was jealous of you.....I-im sorry. Tell Lucy I said I miss her company. And don't worry, I'll help you and Dame out. It's the least I can do for what I've done. Sorry again." She handed the phone back to me, and I was genuinely shocked. She is the most bipolar person I know.

"You heard her. Bye Julia." I said, earning silence. After a moment, she hummed and ended the call.

Ah." Classy pulled out her phone and answered it. "Uh, why? Mhmm. Yes. But what does that have to do with me. Wait, don't give Ginger away! <sigh> Mom, calm down I'll see what I can do. Yeah, I'm coming." She sighed again, putting her phone back in her pocket. "I've got to go. Meet me in the forest, by the barrier. I may have a spell I could use to get the Tanner out." She said and walked to the balcony, jumping off. I watched her transform into a bat using a spell and fly off. When she was out of sight, I closed the doors and flopped down on the bed.

I'm going to be a father....and Julia's the mother. The mother of my unborn child. I wonder if mom would have liked her? Bet she would. I sighed. Why am I talking to myself...
After five minutes of staring at the ceiling, I got up and packed clothes. I guess my little get away house is were I'm off to.
I also talked to Dixie and explained everything while she packed up her clothes and whatever.
