Damian's pov

"It's been five months. WHY IS LUCINDA BEING SO DIFFICULT!!!" I groaned, lying down in the hammock infront my house. "Listen, Lucinda's mom is very serious about her family. She would never take down that barrier. It will take me at least a few more days to- ah, never mind." Her phone began to ring. "Jonnyyyyyy! I need you to contact Lucy. Tell her it's either brake her stupid barrier and let us in. Or we will brake it ourselves." She warned into the phone.

"She's on her honeymoon. Cassy, I'm not gonna disrespect their alone time. They should be returning soon tho, Saturday maybe? I dunno."
Said a familiar voice on the phone.

"Well listen, Damian's fiance and child are there. I need to hurry this up too, the king's trying his very best to track us down, and I can only keep up this barrier for a month or two again. This drains a lot of magic energy!" Cassy quarreled.

I didn't really care for the rest of the conversation. Just waited for her to finish. "Damian. I know where she is, I just don't know how to brake the barrier." She said. "I'm just going to drink until you find a way." I joked, pouring myself a glass of juice. "For a second I thought you were serious."
She sighed. I raised her eyebrows at her and she rolled her eyes.

After, there was a silence as I looked up at the pink and purple sky. It's late and Dixie is still asleep. "You really look like an ordinary person. Not scary like you use too. I like that." She said softly. I had no reply so she kept on talking. "It's almost like...you've been a completely different person since your mom died." Her voice cracked. She use to be close to my mom, like a daughter, and that's how were still friends all now. "Yeah. Julie helped too. I feel like I have no worries when I'm with her. And now?" I sighed, turning to my side. The hammock started to rock a bit, relaxing me. "I really had no chance to begin with huh? Well, as long as she...makes you happy." Cassy sounded like she wanted to cry, but her face showed the opposite.

"Anyway, enough of this. I'm going try another spell. Maybe is I could turn transparent, I could slip through?" She mumbled the last part, going deep into thought while walking inside. When I was sure I was alone, I sighed.

"Julia's pregnant huh....with my child.... I still don't believe that. She might just be pulling my strings. Yeah I know we went at it more than once but...I can't believe that....but what if it's true."
