Chapter 22

"Here." I took my stuff from Gene and smiled at him. "How long is she gonna go missing?" He asked Lucy, making her shrug. "For as long as I could hide her. She's my sister and I wanna keep her safe." Lucinda put an arm around me making Gene smile. Gene smiling genuinely? Waw..

"It's time to go." Carlos said, making Maria run out of the kitchen. "Can I come! Please! All I want to do is be there for her!" She begged. Lucy and Carlos looked at each other before nodding. Maria used her vampire speed and dragged her brother upstairs to pack her clothes etc. and came back down. "Let's go."

When we got in the car, Carlos drove off and soon enough we were out of the city and in the middle of nowhere. It was getting really dark now and I was getting sleepy. Leaning on Maria I closed my eyes, my head laying on her chest. For some reason her heart was beating really fast. Maybe it was about the leaving home thing, or that her father is out to get us and now her too. I didn't know, but I'd ask her when I'm not feeling sick and irritable.

"Julie, wake up, were here." I opened my eyes to see I was lying on Maria's lap in the car. I sat up and rubbed my eyes, then suddenly felt to puke. I got out the car and threw up, Maria holding back my hair and worried as hell. "J-Julia! Are you okay?!" Lucy and Carlos came running to me. "Uh...n-no." I said, taking I deep breath. When I thought I would be alright I looked around and saw only trees. Trees and a little cabin. "I'm sure I'm just hungry. Yeah, that's it." I said. I actually was really hungry..

"Hmm. Alright I guess. Let's go inside and eat something. I skipped lunch today so I need something to eat." Carlos said, walking with Lucy into the cabin. It had two floors and looked big enough for a medium sized family? I dunno. It even had a small playground at the side.
Maria gave me a small smile and we walked into the cabin with me trailing behind.

I sat by a table in the dining room and ate mashed potatoes. I mean, I love potatoes for some reason. And right now, my plate is full of it. I seriously wasn't in the mood for anything else. Maria and Lucy didn't eat anything but a sandwich and Carlos plate had meat.

"Julia, I think you've had enough." Maria said, and I pouted, ready to deny, but she shook her head and let me continue eating. "If u get fat, don't come to me...." she said, making Lucy chuckle and get up, picking up our plates. Maria got up to help and they both went into the kitchen. Carlos got up stretching and then started to carry Maria's and I stuff to our rooms and I just went into the living room.

"Julia?" I heard my name call and I turned to look at Maria coming into the room. She sat at the side of me and laced her fingers together. She has something on her mind... "U-um...you see..in your mother's dairy.....it said you didn't want to be a werewolf after that incident. Do you remember who those people were that you scared?" I looked at her confused and shook my head."Carla Hut, Jack Daniel and Zane Richmond." Said a voice from behind the couch.

We jumped at the sudden voice and turned to see Carlos leaning against the wall. "Oh, y-yeah I remember having a friend named Carla. She disappeared though." I said, looking back at the things I could remember. "Why do you want to know that though?" Carlos asked. "Well, Carla died. And um, there memories were erased weren't they." Carlos nodded and pushed off the wall, walking out the room.

Maria's pov

I closed my eyes and sighed. "Julia, I was there. I saw you transform. I was really scared but that was before I started showing signs of a vampire. I thought you were so cool. Well, I dunno. Anyway, let's stop talking crap. You should get some sleep. And...you know what, never mind..." I stopped myself before I could say anything more. I'm jumping to conclusions here and I need to stop.
I got up, pulling her up with me and dragging her to her room after finding it.

Am I really thinking about this Maria?......but it may be tr- MARIA! It's way too early to assume. Let two more weeks pass. If nothing then there's nothing. She might just be sick, vomiting and junk. Even though she isn't coughing or anything....argh! Breath in, breath out, no matter what happens, she's gonna be fine. I only hope Damian loves her like she loves him.....

I went to my own room, which was right next to Julie's, and lay on the bed. Summer's ending...meh, I don't need to go back school. What I need to do is stay be Julia's side.
