There has been more and more demon activity in the past few weeks...it's starting to worry me. Malik helps out alot and i did whenever i could, but i don't get it... It's not just that...they target only werewolves and vampires. No other species.

It's a pattern. Vampire, Werewolf, Vampire, Werewolf. No children has been caught ill from demon venom since i found Malik too....i bet there being ordered.

"Princess Kayla! it's an emergency!" Shouted a maid, running down the hall. I was just walking to my room to get a little more rest till nightfall. "Princess, it's your brother! He was playing basket ball with the young boys down the street and a serpent demon bit him!" She said, making me drop the tray i was holding, the one person tea set on top it shattering.

I ran as fast as i could to the infirmary on the first floor, and i was on the third.  I made it there in just a few seconds thanks to an unknown source of new speed i found out about when i turned 16, added to my vampire speed.

"Kaylum!" I screamed, running to his side. He might be the only person in the world that i would die for, other than my parents of course. (More my dad than my mom, dad is cooler, but i still love mom) "Oh....*heavy coughs* Ky-Ky...Hey." He said. his usually tanned skin, so similar to mom's, was pale, his eyes heavy and half his arm purple. "No, No, No. Kaylum, i swear, if you die on me i...i wouldn't know what to do with myself....Don't leave me...your my big brother remember." I said, tears filling in my eyes. I haven't cried in so long. I felt darkness overwhelming me as i closed my eyes. "Don't worry Kayla, i'm right here...*Coughs* I'll try not to die on you..." He said, his normal hand on my cheek, wiping away my tears.

Malik and my parents rushed into the room full of doctors rushing around and tending to my brother, but i didn't notice till my mother put a hand on my shoulder. "Kayla...let's go." She said. I looked at dad, and he was sitting in a chair, his hands over his face. My mother looked like she was a ghost with fear. "No." I said, looking back at my brother. Malik, didn't say a word. He just stood there, worried. "I can help....I can be there." I said, remembering what i did with Malik. He widened his eyes and Kaylum reached his hand out to me. "Kayla, it's not worth it. You nearly died last ti- Aaarg!" Kaylum screamed in pain, and my eyes widened. "I'm running out of time." I panicked, wrapping my arms around my twin. "I'll heal you." I said, shutting my eyes. I remembered what Victorious taught me. Healing magic. Something i shouldn't be able to do...

I touched his forehead, his both palms, his feet and finally the center of his chest. When i opened my eyes, i could see all his veins, and where the poison was rapidly spreading. i could also see the purple covering part of his stomach and his arms growing, blocking some veins. I put my palms face down on his chest and thought about healing him. I thought about everything we've been through and how irreplaceable he was. Then, after a small glow coming from my palms, the purple started to slowly disappear. Kaylum turned to the other side, pulling a bucket, and puking in it.

I blinked, and my sight returned back to normal. I scrunched up my nose at the sight and smell of dead demon and vomit mixed together. It was nauseating.

My mother gasped, watching me. "Mother wasn't lying......" She gasped, and dad watched her, confused. "Julia, what do you-" "Excuse." She said, running out the room with tears in her eyes. "Dad?" I asked, confused. Kaylum was sitting up, still looking a little sick. "Kayla, how did you do that? Our species can't do that. It has never been done before." Dad said, and i winced. His voice was getting a deep and scary tone to it. "Dad, leave her alone. She'll explain later. Right now she's weak." Kaylum said, surprising me. I just noticed i was leaning against the wall, while Malik was supporting me. Dad took one stern look at my sweaty face and walked off. He has never been clod to Kaylum or I before....but then again he's the vampire king......

I remember overhearing a conversation recently, when grandma visited. Mom played it off as if she was fine, but i know she was heartbroken. They had been arguing....and dad sounded like a monster. What a real King should be like in a wold like this.
