"Your just like your mother"
The voice echoed around the room. "You look like her too. Such a pretty face."
Kayla turned to look at the subject of the voice. He was tall and tanned. "And you are?" Kayla asked strongly. "Such a brave girl too. The perfect wife for my son."
Kayla grimaced.
"You are engaged now. There is no way out of it."
Kayla just remembered the ring at her finger. She tried to pull it off but every time it burned. She cursed. "My son is not a fool." Said the man, nodding to Ash who stood at the corner of the room. "I have a feeling you knew this was going to happen." Malik said this time, his hands in his pocket. He looked grim.
"You're saying I planned this?" "Sure looks so." The man laughed. "Ash. You have a job to do. Do it."
Ash slightly frowned. "Let's just ask-" "Do. It." Ash shut up, his hair falling in front his eyes when he looked down.
Malik stared at him, thinking 'he doesn't want to do it?' As he tried to block Kayla from the other boy's view. "That won't woke Malik. He's much stronger since the last time you both met."
Ash put a hand out, reaching out in front as if for someone to take his hand. "Kayla. Come to me." He said, very softly.
It didn't work.
He looked up surprised. "Kayla. Come to m-"
"No."
The man let out a puff and walked up to his son, slapping him. "Don't play games child. Your sister's life is in danger." He said. Malik looked away, as if feeling guilty. "That's all it's ever about."
Silence passed....then a sharp "What?" Came out of the man's mouth. "You heard me very well."
Before the man could hit Ash again, Ash caught his arm, and kicked him in his chest, causing him to fly into the wall.
The man got up, without a single scratch, and dusted off the bits of plaster from the wall off his shirt.
"Fine." The man started, turning to Malik and Kayla. "I'll do it myself." He said, walking up to them with speed. In less than two seconds, the man was behind Kayla, left hand around her at her throat, right hand holding back both her hands. She looked fine. Her facial expression blank. Malik was going to help her, but the man gripped on her neck.
"I should have killed your mother a long time ago." He whispered into Kayla's ears, and her eyes widened. She tried fighting back at the mention of her mother, his his grip tightened on her. Even her enhanced strength wasn't enough.
"Kayla!" Julia burst into the room, Ivy behind her, fighting off another guard. "Julia, you should be more careful!" Ivy yelled, slashing at the other guard till he went down.
Julia ignored her.
Kayla couldn't speak. She just started at her mother, her vision blurry. "A better audience. All where missing is your daddy." The man said, squeezing on the girl's neck. She sucked in a tight breath, clothing her eyes. "Stop." Ash said softly...not finding the strength to look into his father's eyes.
"Make me."
Ash finally lost it. All his patients. All his worry.
"Stop!" He yelled, looking up and glaring his father. The man dropped Kayla, and she well to the floor, gasping for air. "Kneel." Ash said, and the man kneeled down in front of them all.
The queen rushed to her daughter, trying to help her. The man started laughing. "You're week." He said in between laughter, his body glued to the ground. "Your sister would have killed me where I stood." He said again, still laughing.
"She will." Ash said, putting out his hand again, this time a pair of puppets strings appeared on his hands, a doll replica of The King Of The Damned, hanging from hit.
"Your a puppet master." Kayla said, a smile playing on her lips. "Yes." Ash smiled back, controlling his father to walk up to the royal family, bowing down to them. "Apologize." Ash said, and the smile of a crazy king was all they saw on the man's lips. "I'll kill you. I'll kill you all." Was what he said, and the guards came rushing in. "Take up and lock him up in the maga-cell." Prince Ash said, making the king give himself up. "See you soon."
Prince Ash relaxed, sinking down on a chair with a heart sigh. "My dear god. Kayla your grounded!" Julia yelled, turning to Malik. "YOUR GROUNDED TOO! For the next 10years!Both of you!" She said, getting up and briskly stomping out the room, Ivy following her. "YOU BETTER BE HOME BY SUNRISE OUR YOUR BOTH DEAD!" She yelled, slamming the door.
"Malik and Kayla looked at each other. "Welp. Netflix and Chill for the next 10 years?" Malik asked, and Kayla laughed. "Definitely."
"How can you guys be so...calm?" Ash asked, wiping the sweat off his forehead. "You wouldn't believe the things we've gone through." Kayla said, getting up and putting a hand on Ash's face, healing his wound from his father. There where gashes from the nails on the man's hand. "Your a witch?" Ash asked surprised at the ability. She shook her head. "I learned this from my cousin."
"Oh." Was all Ash could say, the place going quite.
"I need to ask you something." Ash said, finally breaking the silence. "I need you to wake up my sister."
