Chapter 3

Everyone starts screaming and panicking!

" Quick everyone in the she shelter!" Stella shouts

She opens a secret door behind her bookshelf. It looks like a vault from a bank. The room behind is small but is still bigger than my room at home. One wall is covered in different kinds of knifes and weapons, another full of boxed food, on wall has six small doors on it, and another has TVs.

Mia grabs a remote and points it at the tv on the left

" You really need to watch TV at a time like this!" Avery shouts

" No"

The TV bursts to life with zombies.

" This is the front yard " Stella says pointing at the TV.

She then moves to the over side of the room and points at another TV that Mia turned on. " And this is the back yard."

" There are less in the back" Mia says " We can go out that way"

" Um No!" Easton yells " I refuse to leave this room!"

" You really are a baby" Mia says

" You know you love it" Easton says

Mia rolls her eyes and opens the first door on the left wall. Its a small empty room.

" We are going to go out and get supplies" She says " This room will hold food, there's a small door in the corner leading to the basement. the basement holds a small kitchen and a map of everywhere useful in the city. I will explain the other rooms later, right now everyone grab a weapon, a flashlight, and a walkie-talkie."

" Lets go people!" I yell.

" I call the Machete!!" Mia yells

" But i want the machete!!" stella complains

" To bad I already got it" Mia says taking the machete of the wall.

" Fine but I get the AK47 " stella says

" Go ahead"

We split into teams of two and jump in our cars. Avery and I, Garret and Stella, and Mia and Easton are partners. I turn on my walkie-talkie.

" Stel's group go get food, boxed or canned only! and lots of water or juice. Kota's group get batteries, generators, matches, and lighters! Easton and I will get everything else we may need, if you see anything we may need GET IT! I expect shopping carts full of stuff!! GO GO GO!!!!!!' Mia shouts through the walkie-talkie.

" Isn't this stealing?" Avery asks

" You really are thinking of laws right now?" I ask back

" I just don't wanna ."

" Get in trouble with the cops?" I ask " thats the least of our worries "

We arrive at our local Floormart and split into our groups. The store is mostly empty except for some customers and a cashier. They're just walking around like nothings happening. Boy are they in for a shock.

I spot a giant rack of batteries near the toy aisles. I pile all of them into the cart and rush to find some generators. Where would they be!? Avery flies past me with two more carts one full of matches, the other empty.

" I found this by the entrance"

" Good, go to the car dealership next door and..." I start to say

The lights go out and the screaming begins.
