Chapter 10

        We spend the entire day looking and searching but she's impossible to find. It's like she dissapeared off the whole planet.

"How could this be?" Stella asks herself. Her, Emma, Easton and I sit outside enjoying the nice night and moon light. Kelli climbs down the ladder and brings us a few blankets. " So you dont freeze" She says. We thank her as she heads back inside. A cool October wind blows through the trees, sending a shiver down my back.

" Im gonna go for a walk." I say wrapping the blanket around my shoulders "I'll be back in a little bit."

" I'll go with you, you shouldn't go alone" Stella insists.

"Stel I just need some time to myself Okay? I'll be fine." I say walking away from camp.

        

        I trip on a bundle of hay while passing my house. It seems almost unrecognizable now. I make my way up to the frount door. My hand on the doorknob, I pull away. I can't go in there. Its to soon. Who knows what secrets await me in there.

        I walk slowely and confusedly toward the old barn, my old barn. What if my moms still alive? Maybe she figured out....Who am I kiding? Shes in that house. And I couldn't save her.......

        I see a shadow run into the barn door entrance. I run after the shadow, Who is it? "Hey you!?" I shout, he turns. "Levi"

"Welcome to my humble home"

'"What the hell are you doing here?" I shout

"What no hey how are you? Glad to see your not dead?" He jokes "Listen here girl, I can be anywhere I wanna be."

"Anywhere but here!" he gets up and walks toward me. "Don't go anywhere near her!" I point to my horse, Ella.

"Your not the boss of me, and this girl helped me stay alive." He pets her back.

"How? What did you do to her?" I ask. If he hurt her, i finally have a good reason to kill him, if invading my home wasn't enough.

"She was dieing when I found this place, I wanted to help her, but she ended up helping me find this place." He points to the hay loft, which he turned into his own private camp.

"Oh, Levi can we talk?" I ask

He ignores me but makes his way to sit next to me on the bails of hay. "Listen im sorry, if I upset you anyway, Ok? There is no need for us to hate each other. Just please talk to me."

He sighs "Why are you suddenly so interested in me? A minute ago you were screaming at me."

"Listen you can't do this alone." I say

"Im fine" He rolls his eyes and walks away.

"For now! I cut him off before he could continue. "Winter is on its way and gonna be rough, don't you want any help?"

"I don't need your pitty help...........Do you really wanna know about me?" He asks

"Yes,please"

"Well the day of, well you know, I was with my little brother and...............................I tried so hard,but I just couldn't save him." He starts to freak out and runs his fingers through his hair.

"Shh it's ok, it's ok"I say tring to comfort him "Levi im so sorry, I wouldn't have asked if....."

"No it's fine" He says " What about you?"

"What about me?" I ask

"Nevermind.........."

We sit silently untill I say "What about your parents?"

"Mom was long gone before now, but my dad left that morning..."

"And never came back? Same with mine." I say

After about five minutes of akward silence he asks "What about your mom?"

"Don't know" I say running my fingers through my hair. "Probably about fifty yards away in that house over there."

"This is....was your place?" Levi asks

"Yup. My house, my barn, my horse." I sigh "My old universe."

"And what sucks is that you can't take back anything." He says

"Im sorry. For everything.I had no right to act the way I did." I appologize

"No I was a dick, for no good reason im the one who should be appologizing." He says

I smile. "What?"

"Im sorry" He says again.

"I heard ya the first time, just wanted to hear you say it again."

We both laugh. I break it off by saying "I gotta get going" I get up say my quick goodbyes to Ella. "Thanks for taking care of her by the way."

"Your welcome" He winks and climbs the ladder to get to his cot. He jumps into his makeshift bed and lies down.

"Hey" I say as I am heading out the door.

He looks up but doesn't answer.

"You can stay here as long as you want." I say

"I was planning on it."

A/N - So I am back to writing my stories again! Yay! So this chapter was hard to write for me. I wrote it at about 2 a.m. and the juices where flowing, ok don't say that, but yea it was a super deep chapter. dun dun dunnnnnnn XD.
