Chapter 4 part 2
I run as fast as I can down different aisles. I don't know what I'm looking for exactly, but I keep going anyway. A soft whimper comes from behind the giant cart full of balls in the middle of the aisle.
" Help" someone cries " please someone!"
I look behind the cart of plastic balls and find a girl trying to fight two ugly , gross looking zombie. She takes her long sword out of its holder ,which is resting on her belt, and throws the blade at the zombies chest. It falls back in pain , so I do the same to the other one while she gets her sword back. The sound of ripping a blade from a dead persons chest is by far the grossest thing I have ever heard.
" Thanks " The girl says flipping her brown , side-swept bangs out of her eyes.
" No problem " I say " I'm Dakota "
" Emma " trying to catch her breath she puts get hands on top of her head . "You surviving? "
" Trying to " I say " My friends and I have a big shelter and a really stealthy plan "
" Can I...?"
" Sure" i say cutting her off . I already knew she was going to ask to stay with us. " anyone else with you?"
"My sister Kelli, I cant find her"
Easton runs up to us with a baby in his arms and a small little screaming girl.
"Kelli!!" Emma wraps her arms around her.
" Come on guys we have to go" Eaton says pulling us toward a door and into the bus.
The bus is large, almost completely filled with different items . The girls are sitting with a little boy no older than five. We all pile in and sit. No ones talking.
" This is Evan " Mia says breaking the silence.
"And the baby?" I ask
" He's a boy " she says " we can name him whatever we want."
" Breaking News!!!!" Garret shouts from behind the wheel " Im Scared!!!!!!"
" Shuttup and drive" Emma says rolling her eyes
