The rest of the school day went by agonizingly slow. I just wanted the day to be over so I could just sleep, Yanno?

Finally, after centuries of watching the hand ticking along the numbers, the final bell rang as it stroke 17: 15. Within seconds the classes were empty and the hallways were busy. The area swooned with students who fought to get to their lockers and leave the school grounds. I managed to grab my belongings from my locker and escaped from the chaotic crowd. Jordan texted me saying he was going to try out for the football team, I rolled my eyes at the message and anticipated whether I should take the bus or walk. I noticed that the school bus was packed as hell so I just ended up walking from the route we came by car. I placed my beats headphones in and began to shuffle my music on Spotify.

It has been a while since I left the school's ground and the sun began to set. The sky was an odd violet dark blue with the sun's rays peeking from over the trees' horizon. It was so capitivating yet mysterious at the same time. Never had I ever seen anything like this before. It was oddly satisfying. My mind eventually drifted off to what Brooklyn has told me about Elijah Underwood. Who knows why he was back after such things have been said about him with the accusations of tempted murder. It just seems all crazy but I did admire him for having the balls to return and possibly shut down those rumors. To be fair, I have no idea who he really was. I'll just never make my own judgment of someone based on rumors, I would rather make it myself based on first-hand experience.

I glanced at my black vans slightly gliding across the pavement as I walked and that is when I caught a glimpse of a rolled-up white shirt and black vans. Looking up, familiar dark pacific blue eyes came into view.  Speaking of the devil, here lied the pretty boy smirking by my side. What was he doing here? "You're stalking me now?" I raised one eyebrow, turning down the music volume.

"I was driving when I saw you walking. Since you're new here  I thought I could drive you home. But I guess you were pretty occupied so here I am." He shrugged as he looked ahead, stuffing his hands in his pockets. I stopped in my tracks and looked around to see parked cars along the sidewalk.

Why was he even talking to me?

"You're very social for someone that is viewed as secluded and mysterious," I eyed him as he cracked a smile.

" I'm just selective with the people I choose to socialise with."

"And you chose me because?"

"You're beautiful and intriguing and I just can't help but feel drawn to you," he shrugged.

"Really?" I eyed him suspiciously, "You don't strike me as the type to be intrigued by some one like me."

"Why do you act surprised? If I see something that I like, I will go for it. Especially if it's the girl I met at a corner store. Is that a problem?" He smirked.

"Didn't think you remembered me," My face began to heat at his sudden flirtatious words.

"A woman like you is hard to forget," he winked as I rolled my eyes at his cockiness. "My car is just down the road, I can drive you home. It's the least I can do after you know, what happened with your drink, " the boy suggested, awkwardly scratching the back of his neck. His hair was messy in a good way and the top of his shirt was unbuttoned with the tie hanging loosely around his neck, exposing his collar bone. I instantly felt the heat rush to my head the more I looked at him. God definitely took his time creating this one.

"Um..."

"Elijah." His eyes glistened as he smiled displaying his perfect smile.

"Right, Elijah. I'm...good and I already said it was fine. It was an accident. It's over- thanks for the offer though," I replied as I turned on my heels. Although I really wanted a drive home to save me from this agonising cold that nipped at my skin, he was a still stranger. A beautiful stranger who was framed for attempted murder. Even if all charges were eventually cleared off. He still had a struggling reputations. If anything he could be dangerous and I wasn't willing to take that risk. Whether the rumors were true or foe, It's too early to trust someone with a past like that.  I glanced back, he was still standing there watching me. I shook it off and continued to blast my music in my ears.
