[04: Take My Hand]

Lauren's pov

  Today is our first trip this year, and its to an amusement park. I'm a little worried because I want Normani in my group but they get picked randomly, so lets just pray!

Laurens outfit

  I was lucky enough to catch a ride from Ally so I did and went straight to school.

//School//

  "Alright everyone, I'm handing papers out to the people we chose as captains of each group. They'll only be four people each so it's easier to stick together."

  I was watching as a few of my peers as they got the turquoise sheet, then I got a pit in my stomach as I got one.

  I looked on the paper and I saw who was in my group.

April F.

    I felt a rush of relief as I saw my best friend, old friend, and crush's name on the paper, thanks, people I like.

  They trio got directed to me. I greeted them with hugs.

  "You guys know each other?" Normani questioned as I finished my hug with April. I nodded, "yeah, since the first year, we used to be roommates, then she dropped out and I met Dinah and she came back right before I got sick and went to the hospital." I explained. She gave me the signal that she understood and we gathered our stuff together, hoping to be the first group on so we can get the the back!

||On The Bus||

  "So, I heard there's a new ride: The Olympian. It's got hella turns and it goes upside down and it fills up 90 people each ride so the lines wouldn't be that long. Who's getting on?"

  I got that signature pit in my stomach from April's speech. There's no way I'm getting on that, I hate roller coasters!

  Everyone raised their hand except me.

  "Come on Lauren," April sucked her teeth, "its always you."

  "I don't care, I don't like roller coasters so therefore I'm not getting on one."

  But guessed where we landed at...

~Line~

  "Don't worry baby girl," Normani smoothly whispered in my ear, "I got you."

  After that I felt a little safe. It's like when I'm with Normani, all my worries go away. She's the one that makes it better, as much as I want to, I can't find a way to make her mines. Shit, she probably just being nice, nobody wants me.

  We entered the ride, we were in the front and everyone else was far back, which is understandable, but incredibly dumb.

  The ride started to go up, which made me scared. "Take my hand, we'll do this together," Normani said, putting her hand out, allowing mines to lock with it. As soon as our hands intertwined the ride started to move rapidly. But... I didn't feel scared, I felt good! We were screaming and enjoying the ride, I couldn't do it without Normani, she fixes all my problems and makes all my worries disintegrate, she's definitely a keeper.

::After the Ride::

  "Looks like you had a blast, Lo'." April said, smirking and raising one of her eyebrows. I blushed and Normani grinned at her, "just trying to keep her safe, and make her feel safe, that's all." She spoke, smiling like crazy. My mood went down a little but I was still elated.

  "So Lauren, you wanna try this next one?"  My best friend asked me.

     I turned to Normani and she intertwined our hands again, then I nodded and we walked over to the ride.

    She makes me feel good.
