I woke up, I was alone, that's strange. Usually I sleep with Lauren. Then I checked the time, 8:03am, crap she must've left out for school, if you try to wake me up, it'd take you forever, I would've left me too.
Anyway, I don't wanna make myself any later so let me get ready.

After that I headed to school.
Police and the paramedics were surrounded near the school, I had to park all the way up the street.
I walked up to the school, I ran into Dinah.
"What happened Dj?" Before she could say anything the police were coming outside with someone handcuffed. It was a girl, she was looking down with her hair covering her face so I couldn't see who she was. She instantly put her head up, it was my girlfriend.
"Lauren! What did you do?!" I screamed worriedly.
I walked up to her. "Step back five feet and talk to her." A policeman told me. I sighed and stepped back.
"A lot, babygirl." She said, her voice was hoarse and her eyes were huge. I then examined her nose, oh my godness, it was cocaine, she relasped.
"Oh lord." I said, a tear racing down my face, with other tears trying to catch up. "Ms. Jauregui, does this young lady have any relation to you?" The same policeman asked her. "My girlfriend and former nurse."
"Ma'am, would you mind showing us to the place that you took care of Ms. Jauregui? She has to go back for another year, if she's clean, she can finish school right where she left off."
I just couldn't believe it, what made her do it? Was it me? She was doing so well, this is so unexpected. "Not at all sir."

We all went in, I showed them to the sign in office.
"Ahh, she's back, third times a charm huh?" The lady at the desks said, I didn't recognize her so she must be new.
"She been here three times?!" I shrieked in shock. I've only been here for a year so I wouldn't know.
"Ms.Hamilton, your shift doesn't start till 3pm, but yes you're not her first nurse. Lauren doesn't surprise anyone anymore."
I just broke down, what is Lauren doing to herself? Does she know what this could do to put relationship?! She could die and I'll be without her, or it could be too much and one of us would leave. I guess she just doesn't care.
They sign her in and take her back to her old room. The lady made a noise which caught my attention.
"Dating a patient huh? Not the only one. My ex relapsed way more then Lauren. This isn't rare though honey, she isn't new to this, she could latch back on to her old habits anytime. Let me take you to lunch, I can see you need someone to talk to.
She came from around the desk and hugged me. I hugged back, then she handed me a tissue and walked out. I wiped my face then followed her.
This is just crazy! But hey, once an addict, always an addict.
