                 Lauren's pov

I woke up by the stinging sensation I felt on my butt.

"Get up, honey," my father smirked, "time for school."

"Um, my alarm clock likes his job a whole lot so..." I replied smartly.

I gasped as he grabbed my shirt and violently forced a kiss.

"You don't know what I'd do to you," he growled then left go of my shirt. "Now get dressed!"

"God I hate that man," I mumbled as I finished applying my lip gloss

"God I hate that man," I mumbled as I finished applying my lip gloss. After I decided to skip breakfast and walk to school.

Realizing that school is far asf, I decided to just hop on the bus.

As I was on the bus, I saw someone who I expected to see, my best friend.

"Hey?" She greeted me as a confused smile grew on her face. "My dad again, I didn't even eat."

Dinah sighed, "you should report him, I don't like hearing about this and I'm sure you're tired of dealing with it."

"It don't really matter," I shrugged. "It's not going to stop him."

"You'll learn sooner or later. But don't say I never warned you!"

::Third period::

I walked in and I didn't see Normani, strange.

It was about thirty minutes into the period until I saw the dark skinned beauty walk in to the room. The teacher gave her a side eye as she took a seat next to me.

"Um, you realize that you've missed half of the period, Ms. Kordei?"

Normani gulped, "I had some family matter I had to attend to, Professor Lakey, the principal let me slide, I thought she would've told you."

"She doesn't say much around here," he rolled his eyes, "she let's anything slide here, but try to get as much as you can done, Ms. Kordei."

She nodded and got to work. Before she started her work, she turned over to me and greeted me, with the smile that shined brighter than the sun. Man, what can I do to make her mines?

But why even bother, she might be just like the rest.

~After School at Dinah's House~

"Okay, Lauren. Before we do these classes of homework, we need to talk."

I tilted my head to the side and hummed. "Why?"

"Your situations. Like the one with your father, why don't you tell your mother? Every time anything like this has happened to any of your siblings your mother has choose their side. What is it, you don't think she'll do the same for you?"

"I-it, it just doesn't matter."

Dinah sighed, "well as your best friend, I think it matters. He's just throwing inappropriate remarks, that could lead to something even worse! Can't you see, you could be fucking raped!"

As much as I wanted to be against her, I couldn't help that she was right. I just- I don't know, I'm scared of everyone not believing me. But she's right, my mother doesn't put anything before her kids, so it's time for me to finally tell her.

I just started crying. I was soon pulled into a hug by my best friend.

"Shh," she cooed, "its alright. Well, it will be once you finally tell her, you've been living in silence for too long girl. I don't want anything to happen to you."

"I know, thanks for the motivation, Dinah." She smiled and we go to work.

After we were done, I checked the time. It was almost 7:30pm so I decided to start packing up.

"See you tomorrow." I said as I left out her house, and started walking up the street. As I turned around, I saw Normani.

"Lo'," she shrieked as she ran up to me and hugged me. I returned the hug, taking in her sweet perfume smell. Man, you can't go wrong with this girl.

"Where you going?" She asked me, releasing from our hug. "Home, gotta talk to the mom, it's something I've been meaning to get off my chest for a while."

"Oh okay, just call me if you need anything or just wanna talk, bye!"

Then she walked the other direction. Man I want her so fucking bad, but before I do that, I gotta do something really important.

Wish me luck!
