"Leon it's all over the news, we need to flee."
Leon paced around in anxiousness, "how did they find us?"
"That's why you don't kill your exes," Martha chuckles sarcastically. "Oh for god's sake Marty, she was just my partner in crime,we used to get in trouble together that's it."
"You never even told me what happened, so what else am I supposed to think?
I sat her down then I sat myself done.
"Ard so here's what happened...
{August 2017}
Me and Alia were classmates in high school. She was dating this loser on the football team and he got her pregnant, and his parents threatened to kick him out so he left her. I was her only friend because everyone turned on her.
One day in class Alia comes in late to class, obviously from getting food from the Wendy's bag in her hand.
"You're late, Ms. Kimerson, your work is on your desk though."
"She's about to push out a baby athlete she probably has three more bags in the car." The dude Randy joked which got a laugh from nearly the whole class.
"Joke about someone when you have a gpa above 2, dumbass." I commented.
Everyone 'oohed', "chill stepdaddy I'm just kidding around."
Right after he said I punched him in his face and starting beating him up. We were soon pulled away from each other by some guys in class.
"That's enough Mr.Winston, and that's enough Mr.Lambrtith, take em to the office!"
We both got suspended for two days, I still didn't regret what I did, it takes two to tango how can y'all get mad at her when it's the bastard not helping her when he half the reason she's in this position?! It just amazes me how backwards people are and she was a very good friend to me and I wasn't about to keep letting these guys slide.
Me and her met up the next day after school.
"You didn't have to do what you did, Leon, but I do wanna say thank you. You're the only person on my side, that's why I want to ask you to be The Godfather of my child. By the way it's a boy!"
My eyes lit up, "I would love to be The Godfather."
People never understood our relationship but that's was okay. When you're down at your lowest and that doesn't make the person leave you then they're the real mvps don't ever loose them. She was there when I lost my parents, I was suicidal and she saved me each time. She was my bestfriend.
Four months later.
"I can't believe we graduate this year, high school had gone by fast."
"Shit your right, I can't wait to become a nurse and spoil Kyreese. I'm waiting on my acceptance letter from the schools.
I grinned, "it's cray how we're taking two different paths and we're still so close." I said.
"That's fate talking, it means I found my lifetime friend," 'Lia replied, "when you're hotel open in a few years I'm gonna book all my stays there."
I smiled, "I'll make sure you get you're 'bestfriend discount' man as well," I said then playfully rolled me eyes. "You're the best."
She then got up to use the restroom, and give minutes later I heard screaming so I got up and ran to where I heard it. I see Alia in a pool full of fluid, her water had broken!
"Okay let's get you to a hospital." I then picked her up and took her to my car and we proceeded to the hospital.
Of course they didn't let me in the delivery room so I came back when she delivered. I was so honored to be a godfather, I treated Kyreese as if he was my own dna. I guess that's why I want my kid back so bad. He then died in a car accident when he was 7, Alia survived. When he died I felt like I lost a part of me and through all the miscarriages you had I just this to be an opportunity for us to have the family we always wanted.
Then eventually we went to college and life went on and she totally forgot about me, I was alone I almost got kicked out a business school and my parent stopped giving a damn after I turned 18. I had no one in my corner, then she comes back in my life flaunting her new family as if she didn't know how sensitive that topic was to me! Then I realized people only cared when it was beneficial to them. The only reason she was helping me was because after the investigation she knew she would be terminated at work for helping me so the money I was giving her she was saving up to flee. Guess that plan got ruined.
Marty chuckled, "I understand your pain baby I really do, but I know after the death of her first and only child at the time, she was severely depressed. You guys stopped speaking most likely because she needed to get herself together. She just lost her motivation, her determination and most of all a special gift that she created. Death will permanently scar you, take it from a female who misscarried four times and all before her third trimester. I'm saying all the other things she did to you was inexcusable but people do things they regret when they're emotional. But at the end of the day that child is still 50% of her, and taking a child away from their mother is one of the worst things you could do to them. We will hire surrogates, adopt or try naturally but murder is not the answer baby. I wait for you baby we'll get you a good lawyer but please just end this."
As much as I'd like to disagree I couldn't. We were all hurting and acting off of anger, but that was never my intention from the start and I need to clean up the mess I started. "Alright, I'll turn myself in by morning."
*BOOM"
"FBI, Leon you are under arrest from the murder of Alia Kimerson and ten other felonies."
As she read my right and handcuffed me I look over to my wife, who bursted into tears.
This wasn't the outcome I expected but surprisingly I'm at peace.
Hello everyone, I wanted to first deeply apologize for the wait as I was going through a very rough time and haven't been able to write.
