Downhill Detours

Haruhi's P.O.V.

It was finally Saturday.

Hikaru and I were going to go to the movies, a resultant and then to the mall.

I was dressed pretty casually, but I had 2 bigs ponytails and a pink dress on and that's pretty unusual for me. I was expecting Hikaru to be dressed casually as well but...

"Haruhi!"

"Hikaru? What are you wearing?"

"I got a new suit," He turned around, showing off his brand new, clearly expensive, suit. "Do you like it?"

"I do but, aren't we just going to the movies and mall? Isn't that a bit fancy?"

"Yes. Yes it is. Tamaki made me wear it."

"Of course." I sighed. "Where is Senpai anyway?"

"Hiding behind the corner with Kaoru, and Kyoya and Mori and Honey."

"Why are they all here?!"

"They figured it would take all 4 of them to keep him away from us".

"Alright then. So, should we go?"

"Oh um, ya".

There was awkward silence between us, I didn't really know what to say.

"So the weather is pretty ni-" I stopped and looked up at the sky to see that there were a lot of clouds, which could mean a thunder storm.

"Don't worry Haruhi. If even for a second I think there might be thunder or lighting, I'll protect you. You don't have to worry about anything happening like last time".

"Oh...good, I mean, thanks". It's very rare to see Hikaru being so sweet, I was kind of flustered.

To get to the movie theatre we had to walk up a muddy hill. At the rate we were going, we were going to be 15 minutes late to the movie.

Trudging through the mud with my shoes making a squishing noise with every step, I realized that it had to have already rained.

"Wait, Hikaru, did it rain earlier?"

"Well ya but that doesn't mean there's going to be a thunder stoOOOORM!"

Suddenly Hikaru slipped and started rolling down the hill.

"HAAARUUUHIIII!!! HEEEEEELP!!!"

I couldn't do anything to stop him from falling all the way back down the hill.

"Hikaru look out!"

At the bottom of the hill, Kaoru, Tamaki and the rest of the club were standing, probably talking about Hikaru and me, but they weren't looking when Hikaru came rolling, knocking them all down.

By the time Hikaru cleaned himself up, recovered from his injuries and climbed back up the hill, we had already missed the first half an hour of the movie, and we figured it was not worth seeing it at all.
