The King's Duty

Haruhi's P.OV.

"It's a date".

Hikaru, Kaoru and I walked back to the music room where the host club was and by then, we had been gone for almost an hour.

"HIKARU! KAORU! WHERE HAVE YOU ALL BEEN! WHERE DID YOU TAKE MY PRECIOUS LITTLE GIRL?!" Tamaki Senpai screamed, his face red with boiling blood.

"Relax Senpai, it was no big deal".

"No big deal!" What do you mean no big deal?" Tamaki turned to Hikaru and Kaoru. "What did you two do to her?"

Hikaru and Kaoru looked at each other and said, "We were at the market!"

"That's no true" I candidly said.

"Then where were you? What did they do to you!"

"They didn't do anything to me! All that happened was Hikaru asked me out on a date. And I said yes".

"WHAT!"

Oh God...

"Haruhi, as your father I forbid you from going out with that hooligan!"

"First of all, you are not my father. Second of all, Kaoru is coming with us so "that hooligan" can't do anything".

"Ya come on boss," Hikaru pleaded, "It's no big deal".

"If Kaoru is going then so am I! Don't worry Haruhi, I will protect you!"

"No way in hell Senpai".

Tamaki Senpai fell down as if he had just been shot in the heart with an arrow, his face lost color and he start to tremble. But of course he quickly got back up and exclaimed, "I, the king, have vowed to do all that I can to protect the commoners, and that includes you Haruhi, so I must do my duty!"

"Hehe." Hikaru and Kaoru chuckled. "The boss said duty!" They bursted out laughing as Senpai angrily eyed them down.

Everyone eveutnally went back to talking to our customers, but the whole time all I could think about was what was going to happen when Hikaru and I go on our date. I wasn't thinking about my hair or makeup or the dress I was going to wear. I was worried about Tamaki "doing his duty" and ruining it.
