Haruhi's POV

The plane ride to England is 12 hours; I hate cramped spaces, I hate hearing and feeling turbulence, and I hate sitting around people I don't know with no escape, but it would be worth it. I bought a ticket for a flight leaving in a couple of hours. I didn't bring any luggage, I didn't want anything to slow me down once I got there.

The plane ride went surprisingly fast, I guess that's what happens when all you do is practice a conversation you're about to have. Once I landed I looked up the address of the school Hikaru told me he would be going to; by the time I would arrive he would be just barely getting to school. A taxi dropped me off at his school, and I waited and waited and waited.

Then I finally saw him.

"Hikaru!" I called him, but he didn't turn around.

"Kaoru!" Neither of them were answering me, but I don't think they were ignoring me.

I ran up a little bit closer to them.

"Hika...ru..."

Why am I even taking the time to do this?!

I sprinted up to them and almost tackled Hikaru from behind.

"You!" I pointed at him as soon as he recovered from almost falling on his face. "You are going to stand here! And listen to me! And that's that!"

"Haruhi? What are you doing here?"

"Shut up and listen! What you saw, was Tamaki kissing me, not us kissing! There was no consent, we aren't dating, and I would never EVER cheat on you! Why would I? You are already perfect!"

"Haruhi...."

"I'm not done! Tamaki apologized for what he did, long story short he was drunk and didn't know what he was doing! But I couldn't have pushed him off of me! If you had only stayed for a few more seconds you would've seen me run away from him and look for you!"

"Wait but-"

"I'm not done yet! I love you, I always have and I always will and I'm so sorry that you even thought for a second that I didn't!"

...

"Ok now I'm done".

Hikaru didn't say anything, he just kissed me.

Our lips melted together,with every kiss I could feel myself calming down and feeling more at home. With one hand on my waist and one on my neck, he pulled me closer. The school bell rang but he didn't care.

After a few minutes he pushed me a little bit farther away, but our faces were still close enough for me to feel his breath.

"Haruhi...I'm so sorry that I left. I should've talked to you, and not just storm out. I'm sorry for hurting you. I listened to all the voicemails you left me and I tore me up inside. I wanted to answer you so badly..."

"Then why didn't you?"

"Because it wouldn't have matter. I can't go back to Japan anyway."

"What?"

He couldn't even look at me when he said it. "We can't be together".
