Always and Forever ( Haruhi x Hikaru )

It's a Date

Haruhi's P.O.V.

Tears were streaming down Hikaru's cheeks.

"What's wrong?"

"I'm sorry Haruhi. This whole thing has just been a waste of time. You can go back to school now".  Hikaru turned and started walking towards where Kaoru was hiding.

"Wait!" He stopped in his tracks. "Kaoru said you wanted to ask me something".

"Oh um, it's nothing".

Suddenly Kaoru jumped out behind another tree and yelled "That's not true!"

"Kaoru!" Hikaru blushed. "Get out of here!"

"I will, once you ask Haruhi that very important question!"

"Ok fine! Um, Haruhi, will you, well would you like to, I was thinking I mean wondering, no I mean-"

"JUST SAY IT!"

"Haruhi will you go out with me?"

I couldn't believe. I kind of had a feeling that Hikaru might have liked me but, I never actually expected him to ask me out like this.

I wasn't really sure of my feelings for him, plus Tamaki Senpai was always in the back of my mind, but Hikaru, he was so devilish and I hated his evil schemes and he always causes trouble and it's so horrible to be around him!

But then again... there was another side of him. A side filled with sadness and the feeling of loneliness from his past, that made him sweet and loving.

"Well," Kaoru poked his head out again, "are you just gonna leave him hanging?"

I hesitated, but then replied, "Ok. I'll got out with you."

"Really?" Hikaru seemed way too shocked.

"On one condition".

"Excuse me?"

"Kaoru is coming with us."

"Huh?!" The twins said in unison.

"Don't worry, he doesn't have to be near us at all times, we shouldn't be able to seem him but, he should be close enough for him to be able to see us."

"Why!" Hikaru furiously cried.

"So that he can control your temper".

Hikaru opened his mouth as if he was about to say something, but he just stood there, stumped on what else he could possibly say.

"We should head back." I looked over at the academy in the distance. "Tamaki Senpai will be waiting for us".

I started walking and I could hear the twins whispering but I couldn't make out what they were saying.

"Haruhi?" Hikaru asked as he grabbed me by the shoulders. "Are you sure about this?"

He seemed to be in so much disbelief, like he was expecting a harsh no from me. This was one of the few times I've ever seen him actually worried.

"Hikaru, when and where will we be going?"

"Oh um, well, I was thinking the mall or movies or something this Saturday, but you can change it if you want".

"No, I like that. It's a date".
