Chapter 20 - Hakuryuu (Editted)

Third's P.O.V

"How long does they want me to wait here? I'm bored"

Letting her arms fall, Lyra hanged herself upside down from the branch boredly. Lyra closed her eyes and let the darkness overtook her.

"Sheba......!"

"I'll protect the base with all my best!"

"I really think that you should carry -------'s child."

"Wai-!"

Voices flooded Lyra's mind making her face frowned. 'Who is Sheba....?' She thought as she opened her eye again.

She looked at her aunt in the corner sleeping as her head is resting at the deer's body while the deer's head lay on her lap. Lyra raised an eyebrow, 'where does all these animal came from anyway?'

"Oh~ a girl? How cute~" A woman djiin appeared at the water making Lyra stared blankly. 'Is that water some kind of teleportation circle or something?'

"Ne~ You're Zelle's niece, eh?" The woman asked coeing at the blonde. Lyra could only scoot away but the woman could only stick to he like glue.

"I'm Paimon~ ne, would you fall inlove with me?" Lyra started to feel uncomfortable and when she saw someone appeared at the waters, she sighed in relief since the woman djiin's attention succesfully diverted from her.

"Ah! Barbatos!"

"Oh its you Paimon.." The man's eyes turned to Lyra who is scooting away from the woman djiin and started to laugh at the scene. "You haven't change Paimon!"

"Why would I change if I'm fine the way i am?" Barbatos shook her head silently laughing. "You still like girls, eh?"

Lyra's P.O.V.

I opened my eyes immediately to see Morgiana, Alibaba and Addin-kun looking at me with worried eyes. I sat up breathing in relief as I remembered what that djiin, Paimon had done when I'm there. I could feel my bones shiver down to my feet. Ugh.....

"Are you okay, Ly?" I nodded and looked at Morgiana smiling at her. From the corner of my eyes, I saw the familiar form of Hakuryuu standing at the back with a dark look on his face. 'Damn that Zagan, did he really.. ?'

"Could I have a talk with Lyra pls? Privately?" The three looked at each other curiousedly but went outside immediately. I am left inside with Hakuryuu and an undescribable atmosphere around us. 'That Zagan.......!!'

"Say who are you really..?"

I gulped at his question. He is serious.

"I-I'm Lyra...."

"No surname?"

"Hai..."

"Where are you from?"

"........"

"Where..?"

"R-reim." I muttered softly and felt arms hugging my body. I blinked in suprisedness at Hakuryuu till I felt something wet on my shoulders.

I smiled softly as soon as I realized he's crying. I know I have my faults too more than him in our friendship but he still wants to be friends with me.

I left him with his evil mother.....

I left him and he suffered....

I didn't bothered to write for him and Gyouken saw it as a chance to break him.....

I let him struggled himself......

And worst, I let him think that I no longer need him as a friend.

Hakuryuu didn't stopped crying for another minutes. I could only rub his back as I whispered for forgiveness at him. Its all I could do anyway.

"You okay?" I asked. Hakuryuu rubbed his red eyes as I couldn't help but snicker, "what a crybaby..."

"Hey!"

"Just kidding!!" I laughed at his disrupted face. The door opened as I saw the trio looking over to our way curiousedly. I waved the over inviting them in as Hakuryuu stood a little bit farther that his first position.

"Ne, Lyra, are you friends with Hakuryuu in the past?" Aladdin asked curiousedly as Alibaba and Morgiana sat around me listening.

"Well, we're childhood friends to be exact." I said with a fond smile. "I mentioned that I used to travel right? Well, I went to Kou in one of my travels with my mother."

I crossed my arms in thought as I reminisced the past, "apparently, my mother knew of the first prince to the third. The reasons? I dunno." I shrugged as I saw Alibaba sweat dropped. I forgot that he's a prince too. The second, if I remembered right? Or not?

"Well, the emperor at that time remarried Hakuryuu's mother, Gyouken"

"Hakuryuu's father is the first emperor. A kind ruler that unified the lands whoever, he perished with his two older sons in the fire." Alibaba's face frowned while Morgiana and Aladdin nodded looking at Hakuryuu.

"She married her brother-in-law the current emperor of Kou to remain the imperial status. And only Hakuryuu and his sister survived the fire "

"Hakuryuu..."

"Ren Gyouken is an evil woman that uses others to achieve her goals even if it means killing her own husband and sons." I looked at Hakuryuu sadly as I sighed. Dropping the topic, I clapped my hands and smiled warding the dark atmospere out.

"Okay, let's drop-"

"Hey! You haven't told us how you and Hakuryuu became friends!" Alibaba stood up and pointed out making me suprised.

"Alibaba-kun.." Aladdin muttered smiling as I can't help but smile too. A scene suddenly entered my mind and I can't help but chuckled earning a embarassed Hakuryuu.

"L-lyra...you-"

"I'll tell." Watching Hakuryuu's reactions only made them curious. I knew it from the way they looked at me. I giggled more before I started my story.

"I was currently looking around the palace at that time when I saw a 5 year old Hakuryuu in the corner watching the new recruited soldiers train."

I looked curiously at the boy. He seemed interested at the trainings and a funny thing came to my mind.

I ran to the boy around my age and tapped his shoulder making me smile when he turned at me.

"Hello! What are you watching?"

"I-i'm watching their training." I tilted my head confused. "Why?"

"So I could become stronger in the future." I thought for a second and then my face brightened up as I took out a cupcake that my mother baked.

"You can't train if you can't it this!" He looked at me in confusion and stared at the food like it has grown two heads. "This food will help you get stronger!!"

"Really?"he asked with doubt in his tone. I smiled and nodded as I stretched out my hand to him.

"Okay..." My smile grew larger as he took the first bite. I restrained myself as he asks, " what is it called?"

His eyes grew large as soon as he took a bite and dashed away. "Chili cupcake." I said smiling as he suddenly fainted making me laugh even more.

Laughter sounded throughout the room as an embarrassed Hakuryuu looked away when we looked at him. I clutched my stomach from too much laughter as did Alibaba and I couldn't help but wipe the tears forming in my eyes.

"Ah, Hakuryuu..." I wheezed as I struggled to speak."...you're so..." Laughter once again erupted from my mouth. "..adorable."
