Chapter 45

Lyra's P.O.V.

"Hey Lyra....What are you doing here outside?" Hakuryuu's voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I didn't notice that he is already walking in the palace hall. Judar is walking behind him looking at me with a scrutinizing gaze that I avoided to notice deliberately.

"Hey you are already there Hakuryuu....I didn't notice you coming." I said sheepishly.

Judar scoffed as if finding the whole ordeal not very amusing at all. " Yeah as if."

I looked at the servants that was on the side and looked at Hakuryuu once again. " So what were you talking about?"

" I was talking about how those Magis have it so easy. They can just float in the air when you want to forget about your troubles, and no one says anything to you if you waste your time doing nothing" I looked at the floating Judar and I can't help but agree on Hakuryuu's views.

"Don't get caught in the moment, cheeky bastard. I went to check the situation in the streets you know?"  Judar smiled. "Everyone's saying that you're the legitimmate successor, and that you should be the new emperor! You should be happy!!"

I don't know what to say about that. From what Hakuryuu seemed to mind in the past, he didn't want to be the emperor. I wonder if his mother had something to do with him wanting to be emperor."

"If you don't mind me interrupting then Hakuryuu.." I looked into Hakuryuu's eyes which seemed to be paying attention for my next words.

"I could already see that you have changed for the better these past few days. Why do you have to compete for your brother for the emperor's throne?" It is something that has been bugging me for these past few days. I didn't know what made him change but from his smile, I could seen that it's not so simple that it seems.

I haven't actually seen Hakuei from these past few days. I wonder where she is since Hakuryuu isn't saying anything about her.

"Lyra....I just want to be like my brothers." Hakuryuu muttered lowly but I managed to caught those words.

"But Hakuryuu!! Those are your brother!! You should not copare yourself to them! You are you and they are they." Somehow, I think that my words had a different meaning to him when it reached his ears since his face darkened.

" Take her to her room. I think that she's too tired today and needs to rest."

"Yes, Your Majesty"

"W-wait Hakuryuu......." I didn't manage to continue y words since maids suddenly appear out of nowhere and dragged mme back to the room where I have been staying since I was mistakenly dragged here.

"Lan..... just what is going on here?" I couldn't help but asked one of the maids that was serving me here. Lan had a very short black hair that reached up to her neck. She also had a soft brown colored orbs that seemed to tell a story. " My lady....The members of the organization had arrived. Your Majesty had ordered us to not any of them get in contact with My Lady."

"Organization?" Lan nodded and I stopped my curiousity.

There was an intense sound of battle somewhere inside the palace but, I was still prohibited from coming outside of my room. Until there was this large blast that knocked all of the maids and made them all faint.

"Alright sine they all fainted then no one shall know that I sneaked out. Even if I'm not like my sister Ryna, It's still very suffocating to be here after a long time." I gave out a smile and looked outside if there are any people.. It wouldn't be good to get caught immediately after the escape.

Somehow, there are no people outside.No guards.No maids.No aids. What is going on? I remembered the look of my maids faces earlier and they were too pale as if scared by something that happened. The guard that delivered the message seemed like he came from hell and back. It actually made me curious but they are hell bent on not letting me leave. Sigh......

  I walked down the hall and some pillars actually gave up and splattered on the floor. It was then that I head a distinct sound of someone hitting someone since the victim sounded like in pain.

"Judar!!!" I heard the familiar voice of Gyouken and I ran to see what's going on. Judar is surely not hitting Gyouken, is he?.

"H-hakuryuu??" 

"W-wait a second, isn't Gyouken dead? Just what's going on with me? I even saw her corpse days ago." And I saw Hakuryuu cut down her mother separating the head from its body. What's more suprising was that the head exploded. What on earth is going on?

And so I woke up.

"W-what did you say....?" I couldn't help but fall on my knees when I heard the emperial edict that Hakuryuu, the emperor had passed down.

Ren Kouen had arrived just earlier and his first move was to brand the eldest prince, the crown prince as traitor. H-how could Hakuryuu do that? I know that he knows that Kouen is my aunt's fiance so why.....just why?

"Leave. I want you all to leave this room. NOW!" I couldn't help but let my voice trail off in panic and they immediately ushered away leaving me alone in this room.

"M-master?......C-can you do something about this situation...please......I p-promised aunt that I'll watch over Kouen."

"You shouldn't really talk about that with me you know Ly-chan.. I didn't pass the edict." Tyelle joked trying to ease the atmosphere. " D-do you think that he'll revoke it if I asked?"

 "What are you talking about Ly-chan" Tyelle looked at me as if I joked. His companions under the cloak was silent on the side." You're just a childhood friend. Who are you to him? Haven't you seen it? Hakuryuu already changed he is not the boy you once know."

"Hey Lyra...." A soft voice called out to me making me turn to look at her. " You can't prologue it anymore..you have to go back now or you'll never come back again."

"What do you mean?"

"Your family is returning back to your home country. I'm already sure that you know no outsiders are allowed inside it right?" I took a very deep breathe. That's right. My mother already sent a message and I have to leave now if I want to come with them."

I closed my eyes and found myself thinking about him again so I made up my mind. I took the letter I wrote before the maid come in and passed it to my master. "Can you at least give this to him after I am gone?..That's the last favor that I want to ask of you master Tye."

Master took it and I looked outside of my window. " I guess this is it. I hope we'll see each other again someday master." and for the last time, I gave them a big smile  before I disappeared from their view."    

Amyra's P.O.V.

" That child......" I couldn't help but sigh at the sight of that girl leaving. Somehow, she reminds me of a memory from a distant past. I know it hurts, but I will pray for you and your wish to come true.

"You know I don't think that Syzelle's plan was a success." Zyril couldn't help but mutter out in silence. " From what I can see, that man....Kouen was it? he is going to die soon."

"I know...but just like what my sister once said to me......" I looked at the fallen plant on the ground sadly.

"Sacrifices are inevitable."

Third's P.O.V.

And so, the people who went inside the memory of Syzelle and those who don't, returned from the island after receiving the message of Judar which is played thanks to Zyril's memory. The shock was too obvious in their places. Kouen who received the news of Gyouken's death immediately hurried back to the Capital. Alibaba decided to go along with the and see what he can learn from all the fast pace happenings in the capital.
