Chapter Three ~ Big house, small girl

Im starting to wonder if i should have stayed by the edge of the forest instead of venturing into it, i mean im in the middle of a dark forest that is infested with werewolves! I sighed and kept walking the shadows in the forest starting to creep me out. I noticed a bright light through the trees and Moony ran staight towards it barking happily.

"Moony! Wait up!' I yelped and ran after him.

'Follow follow!' Moony barked. As surprised as I was, I didn't stop running.

Moony barked, chasing his tail out side a big cottage. I went up to the door carefully and noticed the scene change around me.

Scene:

"Come on Remmy! I'll tell Icess to come over and you can stop moping around!" Laughed a young girl. She had sliver hair that was slightly wavy and bright amber eyes, much like my own.

"You wouldn't!" Exclaimed a sandy haired boy, with light amber eyes.

"I would!" The girl laughed.

"Please don't Danni!" the sandy haired boy begged.

"Why? too embarking for your sister to call your girlfriend, Remus?" She taunted, a sly smirk on her face.

"You call her and I call Sirius!" Remus threatened.

"No! Don't you dare!" Danni yelped.

The boy smirked and they ran into the house. They both froze at what they saw in the entry room, a look of horror plastered over their faces.

"Mum... Dad....?" Remus whispered.

Danni fell to her knees, her body shaking as grief consumed her.

I fell flat on my back and stared at the door, a note was now clearly on it. I jumped and and took the note, reading it carefully.

Lucy-

If you are reading this now, I must be dead, and your father must be in Azkaban. If you are with Remus right now, he is probably reading his own letter, if not, then I'm sorry for leaving you all alone. Go explore my childhood home, it is torn and broken now, but I still believe you should have the chance to see it.

I gave you Moony for a reason- I used a spell I and Severus had created, it made your stuffed wolf a Spirt Protector. A Sprit Protector keeps the happiness of the one it protects at a safe level at all times, as well as keeps it from danger. I love you with all my heart, from the sun and back, but I'm afraid your father loves you more, seeing as how he allowed me to do this to protect you. Okay now I'm lying, he didn't let me, but he didn't think to stop me either.

I reread it in shock, my mother left me a note? I looked to my left to see Moony back as a stuffed animal, and felt the safety I felt before diminish. I picked him up and held him tight in my arms before slowly pushing the cottage door open.

I was surprised to see the house had a glowing fire and a man inside, he was staring at the fire muttering to him self.

I was about to leave, being scared of the man, but of course Moony decided other wise.

'Me! Me! Me!' Moony chanted, catching the mans surprise.

"Who are you?" He asked, but his voice was soft, it sounded recognizable and I recognized the man when he finally looked at me.

"Uncle Remus?" I asked carefully.

"Who are you?" The man repeated.

"I'm Lucy, Lucy Hope Black, names after my grandmother and my fathers last name, I'm 10 years old and I have no idea where I am, besides the fact my mother grew up here," I said proudly, through I felt like I was going to have a heart attack at any moment now.

"Lucy, Merlin, I haven't seen you since you were one!" The man gasped, moving forwards to hug me. I stepped back, not knowing who the man was.

"Are you Remus Lupin, my uncle and godfather whom I called Moony since I learned to talk?" I questioned.

"Yes," he said, giving me a grin.

"Lies," I growled.

The man pulled out his wand and pointed it at me, "Listen girl, you will come with me understand?"

"No, I'm afraid I don't," I lied, glaring at the man.

He grabbed me by the arm, making Moony leap into attack mode.

'Go! Go!' Moony barked and I ran out of the house, my back pack swinging back and forth on my shoulders.

This was a bad idea.

"How will they not find out?" the man challenged.

"Because we are what you would call 'Time Eaters', like your sliver haired friend," the blond one said.

The dark haired man glares at the sliver haired one, "First your a Death Eater now a 'Time Eater'?! What next Danni?!"

"James calm down please! I'm not a Time Eater! I did interfere with time but I did it to save lives!" Danni protested.

"How?" The red haired women incurred.

"Because I saved her life," I said, pointing to the grey haired women.

She nodded, "Very good Danni, now I'll let my sister explain, ready River?"

"Yes," said the blond one, smiling brightly.

"We call our selves, Time Eaters, as this place your in now is the Wait," River said (Aka the blond one).

"The Wait?" Lilly questioned.

Rain nodded, "We call it the Wait be cause of this," she said, pointing to the screen.

"It's like a tv," Lilly muttered to her self as it turned on.

"Merlin..." James muttered watching the screen.

Danni watched the little girl run from her childhood home, "Time is faster here, that's why it's called the wait, we age as we wait, for only minutes in this world, while out there, they go through years."

"Except you, Danni, you only age here because your dead during this time, we, as in I and Rain, do not as we are alive during this time," River explained.

"When will we be allowed to leave?" Danni questioned.

"When they enter their third year, we are a year above them with Fred and George Weasly, we are what we like to call, the Doubles, as Rains hair had not gone grey from a months worth of cuiros!" River laughed.

"Shut up River," Rain said, through she was smiling as well.

"If we are alive, where is Icess?" Danni asked.

"Being healed by our magic, as she was barley alive when we got to her," Rain answered.

"What about Chase and Snow?" Danni asked.

"Chase was beyond dead, he was a squib so we couldn't even use his own magic to help heal him," Rover replied.

"How did two werewolfs not have a werewolf offspring?" Danni asked, ignoring the confused looks on James and Lilly's faces.

"Snow is a werewolf," River replied.

Danni nodded.

"We are going to check on Icess, have fun," River said and she and Rain left the three to watch their children on the screen.
