Chapter 12-

Mad- what..?

A large white massif bounded out out of a wired cage, sharp canine teeth gleaming white as the dog charged forwards, right towards Lucy.

Lucy squeaked with apprehension and backed towards the edge of the ring. The dogs sharp fangs glittered with saliva, his eyes were icy blue and shone with a look of confusion. The dog barked and Lucy whimpered, fear washing over her. This was new, she had never done anything like this before nor heard of it; but that didn't mean she wasn't prepared. The dog barked, and by the tone of his bark, Lucy realized the dog was a female. Lucy sat up, staring at the large wolf like dog. She had heard that tone before, she just had to remember....

~~~~~~~~~~FlashBack~~~~~~~~~~
Lucy giggled, pulling on her uncles pant leg. The sandy brown haired man smiles at her, shifting his glasses on his face.
"Uncle Mitty!" She squealed.
"Yes, Lucy Lion?" Her uncle had asked, picking her up.
"Where's Auntie Snowy?" Lucy had asked, watching the mans face.
He smiled, "I'll call for her, you want to help?" Lucy, being the one year old was, called with him.
"Auntie Snowy!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Lucy gasped, realization flowing over her in waves.

"Aunt Snow?"

The dogs ears perked and she barked happily, causing the men who had been watching the fight (that never had the chance to occur) yell and howler with frustration and wrath.

"Fight the girl!"

"Dumb mutt!"

"This better not screw up my bets!"

Lucy raced towards the dog, but got pulled back by Kingsdon. Fresh tears rolled down her face as she watched the white mastiff be dragged away by one of the men. Kingsdon leaned down towards Lucy's ear and whispered harshly.

"Fight the next damn dog that is released, or you'll fight one of those men, understand?"

Lucy nodded despairingly, and Kingsdon threw her to the ground and hopped out of the pit. As Kingsdon tried to shut up the crowd, the next dog was released- a big black Grim like dog. Lucy's hopes sparked until she noticed the icy blue eyes of the dog- not the stormy grey ones of Padfoot.

The dog lunged at her and she threw her self to the side, her shoulder skidding across the sharp pebble ground. She leapt up and ran across the ring, the dog chasing behind her. There was a loud bang and a lot of pops, much like the one heard when Dumbledore had left her there that afternoon.

"ORDER OF THE MINISTRY OF MAGIC! STAY WHERE YOU ARE!" Howled a voice across the basement. In her surprise, Lucy slipped and fell. The dog landed on top of her and slashed the bit of air she had left after running right out of her. Lucy looked to the side, trying to shield her face from the snapping jaws to lock eyes with a man.

SA man with pale skin and many scars. A man with crystal blue eyes full of caution.

A man with another eye, one that seemed interesting and mysterious.

A man that had pale, ruffled blond hair.

A man she most likely would never see again, as the dogs jaws closed around her neck.

The man blasted the dog with a flick of his wand, watching as it ran off, howling with pain. The man raced towards the girl, shock and horror flowing though his very veins. He would recognize those eyes anywhere-

bright amber eyes and those soft yet tough features that were like stone on the girls face- she had to be Danni Hope's daughter, Lucy Black.

The man scoped up the girl and apperated out of the basement. Normally he would stick to being cautious or sending one of the other Aurors to take her, but she was Danni's daughter, this was his job.

He raced into the wizarding hospital, Saint Mungo's.

"I have a emergency," his gruff voice snarled, alerting many of the Healers.

"Mr.M-" one of the healers, a blond haired women, gasped before she was interrupted by the man.

"She needs urgent help- she was bit by a dog, her thou-" but before he was able to say another word, the brown haired girl was whisked out of his arms, into the arms of the healer. The man sat down in one of the waiting room chairs- he was staying the night.

The man wondered why the girl was in the orphanage in the first place, and thought over it until he fell asleep.

(A/N: Who is the man?
