Chapter 18- Enemies

Lucy woke up the next morning on a dark green couch. She sat up and rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. Lucy looked confused until she saw a picture on the bookshelf across from her. Lucy couldn't help but gasp when she recognized the teenagers in the picture.

"Malfoy," Lucy whispered, seeing the blond haired man smiling in the picture, one arm over a girl with curly brown hair.

"Dolores," Lucy gasped, suddenly understanding why Dolores Umbridge had sympathy for her. Next to Dolores was Lucy's mother, her sliver hair only holding one red streak, the rest sliver. That confused Lucy and she decided to get a better look.

"Lucy?"

Lucy gave a involuntary squeak and spun around to see Snape. Snape gave a half-smile, noticing the picture Lucy had been looking at.

"That was of me, Lucius, Dory and your mother when we were in fifth year. Before she... took out the rat."

Lucy looked at her feet,"I know, Mad-Eye says Malfoy was a Death Eater, and I met Dolores at the-" but Lucy stopped and shook her head, "-At the ministry. She was there when Mad-Eye had to go in for a emergency meeting."

Snape looked suspicious,but he knew that Lucy's mind was unreadable when she wanted it to be.

"Your classes start at eight, would you like me to walk you to the dungeons?" He asked.

Lucy nodded.

Everything is cold. The dawn light shines through a shattered window, a mist surrounds four people- James Potter, Lilly Potter, Icess Potter, and Danni Hope.

Danni groans and uses her elbows to help herself up.

"Everyone awake?" She asked, her voice sounded raw, as if it hadn't been used in a while.

"Frost is awake, same with Lilly," James said, he was sitting up and had a arm around Lilly. Icess was pacing, "Remus must hate me. H-He never knew he had a daughter, and he and Snow never knew about Chase."

Danni ignored Icess,"Dumbledore has set alarms and in my will,I asked that none of our wands be burned if we died- I wanted them to be given to our oldest children when they turned seventeen. He has all four if ours, plus Sirius's. I have Peter's."

"Why would you have Peters?" Lilly asked.

Danni shook and tears welled up in her eyes, "I've had his since our fifth year.""

"But he needed it for schooling," Icess said.

"FREEZE! YOUR ALL UNDER ARREST!"

Lucy snuck into the girls dorms and gave one last smile to Snape before searching each door for her name written in the silver. She smiled lightly when she finally saw her name written in the sliver. The other names written in the sliver were Maxi Ruff and June Wolfe.

"June?" Lucy gasped quietly. She hadn't even heard her other cousin get sorted as Slytherin, let alone made a second year.

Lucy opened the door and walked in quietly. June was still asleep and so was the other girl, Maxi. Maxi had light blond hair and a small petite face.

June yawned and sat up, eyes widening at the sight of Lucy.

"You were moved up too?" Lucy asked.

June nodded,"Thanks to you teaching up what you knew, the hat moved all of us up- Me, Snow, and Toby."

Lucy smiled,"Maybe we can all be friends again."

June looked at her hands," I don't think so, Lucy. I really don't."
