Delly and Red gaped at Edens last sentence.
"What do you mean you had a brother?"
"YeahEden, you can't just cut the story there!Who was he?What was his name?We want details please!"Delly cried happily persistent.
Eden sighed.
"So that you guys stop bugging me about it his name was going to be Greatorex but mum was going to call him Rex.I don't know anything else, sorry."
She shrugged."I never knew him.Maybe I'd be different if I did, I don't know but ...."
Eden shrugged again.
"If were not going to practise we should talk about real stuff, things that mean stuff to us.Like,I wish I didn't spend every holiday here year after year like I don't exist."Red looked up at the girls with sad eyes.
"What do you mean Red?"Delly asked moving closer to the boy.
His voice shook but he continued"I was sent here because I was too much of a troublemaker and basically my parents wanted to wash their hands of me.Most of my siblings don't know me at all and the oldest only at the very most has a vague memory of me.I can't go home because when I do it's like I'm a stranger in my own home.So I stay here at the school."
He smiled sadly."Although,I do want to meet my little brothers and sisters some day..."
Delly hugged him with a bit of force.
"Red,thank you for sharing."she whispered in his ear.
Leaning back a little she closed her eyes missing the pink tinge that spread across Reds face.Eden didn't though and smiled. She loved secrets.
