AFTER THREE YEARS

The flight is delayed and in about a couple of hours, Sandy will be graduating from school and I am still here at the airport 1 hour and 30 minutes away from her....I was talking about how long the flight is. Kanina pa dapat dumating yung plane sa Rosanne eh. Ngayon tuloy instead na uuwi pa ako, direcho na ako sa University kung san siya nag aaral. She's graduating from pre-med. She was expecting me to pick her up pero delayed flight kaya sabi niya she will see me na lang when I get there. Si Sandy na yata ang pinaka understanding na taong nakilala ko. Hindi niya ako pinipilit kung hindi pwede. She understands my work. Nandiyan lang siya naghihintay sa akin and if I needed her company kahit long drives lang na kaming dalawa lang ang magkasama sumasama siya. Her dad does not approve of it pa. Siguro one day he will accept na kami talaga ng anak niya. I told the people at home na isama na yung suit ko sa driver na susundo sa akin kasi direcho na ako sa University.

Sabagay the ceremony will not start unless the guest speaker arrives. It was supposed to be a surprise kaso nakalimutan ko na may invtations pala so she saw it. Sabi niya since I wanted to surprise her, siya na lang daw ang mag susurprise sa akin. Hahahaha loko talaga yun eh.

AT THE UNIVERSITY

Every one already knows that Jacob and I are an item. My friends would not let me off the hook until I introduce them to him. My relatives were the same. Mas malala pa yata sila. Ate Celestine thanked me when she learned that Jacob and I were already a couple. Kasi sabi niya may iba naman talaga siyang mahal ang nahihiya siya kay Jacob kasi kulang na lang ilagay siya sa platter at iserve sa kanya ng tatay niya.

His parents unlike my Dad welcomed me with open arms. Siyempre di pwedeng umangal ang tatay ko kasi ang daddy niya eh Chief of Staff. Five star General. Eh si Dad two stars general pa lang. Hehehe so pag tinatawag ako ng Daddy ni Jacob na future daughter-in-law, walang masabi si dad.

Jacob has been true to his promise. HE has respected me in every way that he knows. We don't do stuff that we weren't supposed to do. He love and respect me. I remember when he was so down about work and he called me and said he needed me, I thought he needed me the way I thought he needed me. Alam mo yun, yung...di ba sa guys yun naman minsan ang stress reliever nila, s-e-... . Ayoko sana pumunta pero sabi ko sa sarili ko if he attempts to do something, sisigaw ako. Siyempre kaya ko yun. So pumunta ako sa office niya. And all he ever wanted to do kasi nag overnight sila sa office was to drive around with me kaming dalawa lang and eat ice cream. ICE CREAM. Yun ang ginawa namin.

When he graduated from College, there was really no party thrown for him. He requested that there should be none. He worked that day. He graduated on top of his class. He did not get to talk cause he actually did not attend his own graduation. He had a court hearing about the City garbage dumpster that have been a problem since time immemorial. The judge holding the case would not let the mayor off the hook so easily. When the hearing was done, he was so late already that he can not read the speech he made the night before. He had to let the #2 read his speech. I went to that graduation for him. His parents accepted his diploma and all the awards that he got. I was beside the, After the graduation, he was waiting for me at his office. He was still working late that night. I had to remind him that his staff have families who are waiting at home too. So that was the only time he decided to go home. We did not actually go home. With two of his body guards we went to our favorite place to celebrate. He drove the car. He let the men follow us. It's bullet proof car that his father forced him to use. And we have been using that car ever since we became a couple.
