Nabaon sa utang, at nakadispalgo ng perang hindi kanya. Iniwan ng kanyang mag-ina. Ito na lang loan sa bangko ang inaasahan niya para makabangon ulit.
Parang drama pero nangyayari sa totoong buhay. Inip na inip habang naghihintay na asikasuhin siya ng loan teller o kung ano pang tawag sa kanya.

Maine and her team is already on their way back to the network office on board the broadcast van when she leaned forward from the backseat.
"Kuya, Tatay Ed, puwede daan lang tayo saglit sa bangko? Tumawag ang payroll officer, kailangan ko daw magprovide ng specimen."
"Ano yan, lab test?"
"Tatay Ed naman eh, signature specimen po. Kailangan nila ng maganda kong pirma para puwede akong mag-withdraw over the counter dito. Sige kayo, wala kayong libre sa una kong sweldo."
"Aba, aba! At hindi ba kaya ng limit ng ATM ang i-wiwithdraw mo? Sinabi mo yan, maglilibre ka! Recorded na yan, Maine."
"Kahit saang fishball stand pa! Diyan na lang kuya sa branch na yan. Malapit-lapit sa studio."
The bank is not that full when Maine entered. She took a number for the customer service and sat on the sofa to wait for her turn. She's number 12 and the monitor is indicating that it's servicing customer #5. Even the single line to the bank tellers is not that long.
A pregnant woman entered and was ushered to the special line next to a senior citizen. All is well in the world.
She was counting the people on the line when an altercation ensued between the bank officer and customer #5. Even if she's not curious, which she is, she knew from their loud voices that the guy is disappointed that his loan is being rejected.
Maine mused as she continued to watch from beneath her eyelashes. Maganda sigurong gawan 'to ng human-interest story. Anatomy of institutional debtor and debtees. Mga ganon ang title. Tapos mag-iinterview ako ng bumbay sa palengke at mga tindera.
She was hoping that cooler heads would prevailed, when the two guards were called to escort customer #5 outside of the premises.

Tatay Ed glanced at his watch. Maine had been inside the bank for 30 minutes now. He knows that she has a meeting with sir Raffy at 2pm, that's why they are returning earlier than the usual.
He was about to make a remark to their driver when they heard a gunshot from inside the bank. His instinct took over. Getting his camera from the backseat, he went down but not before giving instruction to the driver.
"Mag-APB ka sa police tapos tumawag ka ng back-up sa studio. Bilisan mo!"
Bystanders who heard the same gunshot are now starting to mill around the entrance of the bank.
Tatay Ed can only mutter. "Aminin mo Maine, may balat ka talaga."

The executive producer just came back from a lunch meeting with RJ, when they were met at the door by one of the crew.
"Sir, breaking news! Hostage taking sa isang bangko malapit dito. May man on the ground po tayo sa mismong location. Exclusive pa sa atin ngayon. But will not be for long."
