Ok, so this was my first werewolf story, and I went through to basically rewrite the whole thing because I hated how I wrote two years ago. All rights reserved.

I sat in my seat in math class, twisting my blonde hair. Mr. Clark drew on his white board, the marker squeaking a few times here and there. Technically I should've been taking notes but when you sit next to your boyfriend, let's just say there's something a little more captivating than math. I smiled at him and he put his arm around me. I wouldn't normally be ignoring class, but after having him moved next to you, again, it's a little bit hard to ignore. Parker was happy about it too, and he said that I wasn't as uptight around him. I wasn't uptight, I just followed the rules. Another thing, I couldn't stand the nitwits in the back of the class who thought they were everything. They went AWOL, they got bad grades, more than half of them have been to Juvie. They're the group that every one wants to be apart of because in my school, they were the 'populars.' I scoffed, you could be popular without getting arrested. Look at me, everyone knew who I was and everyone liked me, and had I every gone to prison? No, I hadn't.
"What time is this class over?" I complained.
"Ten minutes." He moaned, neither of us could stand math, although it was my strongest subject (minus P.E., I was the most athletic girl in the class).
I looked over at my friend, Juliette Evans, she was just as annoyed. She blew a peice of her dark reddish hair from her chocolate brown eyes.
"Are you excited for tomorrow?" She asked me.
"Totally, I'm gonna be turning eighteen!" I whispered excitedly.
I thought back to her eighteenth birthday, it was an awesome party. The best I'd ever been to. Although, it wasn't like a normal party, only shifters were allowed. Yes, she and I are shifters or as the regular human would call, a werewolf. She found her mate there, Garret Mark, a guy who was pretty popular about the school. Tomorrow, I would find my mate, except, I was pretty sure I'd already found him. I looked back at my boyfriend. Parker wasn't a shifter but there was always a rare occasion when a shifter's mate was a human. Parker had to be my mate. We'd been dating since ninth grade. Finally, the bell rang and I went out of the class. I waited patiently for Parker at the door.
"So, I'll see you at your party tomorrow?" He whispered, looking at me with his deep green eyes.
"You sure will. I can't go AWOL at my own party, now can I?" I told him.
He bent down and kissed me, I wrapped my arms around his neck and we stood there for a minute.
"I gotta go, Julie wants to take me shopping for my dress this afternoon." I said.
"See you, Mackenzie." He nodded.
I walked out of the school, and drove to the mall where I'd meet Juliette.
"Hey, Mackenzie." She called from outside the doors.
"Hey! Ready to go shopping?" I asked.
"Mackenzie Rylant, I'm offended you asked such a thing! I'm always ready to go shopping!" She exclaimed.
I smiled, she was definitely my best friend. We laughed and walked into the mall. Julie pulled me into a dress store. There were dresses everywhere. I let my mouth hang open, how was I going to be able to pick just one?
"Oh my God," I said, wow, this would be hard.
"What color do you want?" Julie asked me.
"I don't even know where to start. There are so many beautiful dresses." I said.
