"Kenzie wake up! It's your birthday!" My sister, Victoria, shouted, turning on my light as I rolled over in my bed.
"Tori, what time is it?" I moaned.
"Time for you to get up lazy! I can't work with a tired birthday girl!" She whined. She was planning on doing my make up for my party.
"Okay, okay, I'm getting up." I growled.
"Good, come down for breaky in five." She ordered, skipping out of my room.
I slowly got up and walked over to my full body mirror. I quickly brushed my blonde hair, and I didn't bother to change out of my PJ's. I closed my door and tiredly made my way down the steps into the kitchen. My brothers were all up. Let me give you a fast introduction:
So, my sister, Victoria, I admired her. She's had the prettiest light brown hair and light freckles-almost invisible-that glided across her nose and cheeks. Her mate was named Flynn. My eldest brother, Zeke, had blonde hair a little darker than mine. His mate's name was Grace, and they were the alpha and the alpha female. Then there's my other two other brothers. They're twins but they're not identical. Chase and Dalton. Chase's mate Carolina was super nice. She loved Chase's brown hair. Dalton's mate, Emily, she was the only one I couldn't stand. She was... unwelcome, although I preferred the term "unwanted." She was a vampire, and even though she didn't feast on human blood, she was still was a bloodsucker. She was still unwelcome. Her blonde hair and purple eyes scared me. As for my mom and dad... they were murdered by the rogue pack when I was twelve.
"Good morning sleeping beauty!" Zeke called, bringing me back to reality.
"Shut up." I glared, sitting on a barstool with irritation.
"What'd you do Tori? She's all mad." Chase questioned Victoria.
"Nothing, the birthday girl's just sleepy, aren't you Kenzie?" Victoria asked me.
"Ya, I'm sorry Zeke." I said apologetically, realizing I'd sounded like a jerk.
"It's ok little sister." He pouted, pulling me into a hug from behind and resting his chin on my head.
Then Zeke started to tickle my rib cage, and I laughed and tried to get out of his grab. I elbowed him in the chest playfully, and he let me go. I pushed my hair from my face and smirked at him. Victoria set down my plate of pancakes, and I started eating.
"Carolina and I are going to decorate the entire house for your party!" Grace exclaimed happily.
"No Emily?" I asked thankfully.
"I thought you didn't like bloodsuckers." Victoria asked.
"Victoria!" Dalton shouted.
"Sorry Dalton, but you know she's a bloodsucking vampire." Victoria retorted.
"That's enough of that, Tori." Zeke scolded discreetly.
Dalton stood there, still slighting glaring at Tori. I cleared my throat, and showed that I had finished eating and was ready for Tori to help me get ready.
"I'm sorry Dalton." Victoria apologized and pulled my hand upstairs.
"Oh! Hold on a second Victoria!" Zeke called from the kitchen.
We went back into our kitchen to find Zeke wrapping Grace in a hug as she entered from the living room. Grace had a wide smile on her face.
"We have some great news for everyone." Zeke announced.
We all stared at the couple impatiently, wanting him to tell us the news. I felt my heart beat in my chest. This had to be good. It was family news from the sounds of it, not pack news.
