"hey leena, wake up." i hear jack say while shaking my shoulder.

i groan and flip the other side of the bed.

"we have an event, leens, you gotta get up or you don't get to be our special guest." he coaxes me out of bed.

"how long till then?" i mutter, my blanket still over my face.

"you have two hours to get ready." he responds.

"see that's plenty of time, i can go back to sleep for a little now." i say, already getting comfortable with the blanket again.

"no, no, no. you and i both know you'll sleep too long and be mad that you don't have time to do your makeup." he groans, pulling me into a sitting position.

"i hate that you're right." i mumble as i run my hand over my face.

"let's go, start getting ready!" jack continues, pushing me out of bed.

i grumble all the way down the stairs, secretly praying that breakfast was already made. once i reached the little island in the kitchen i was met with fresh, crispy bacon and fruit. i made a plate and started eating while still standing, too focused on my hunger to notice anything else around me.

"whoever made this is a gift sent from heaven." i said to myself through a piece of bacon.

"that's so sweet leena, i'm glad you think so highly of me." i hear shawn joke from behind me.

"you did this?" i say thought a mouth full of food.

"swallow your food, then speak." he laughs.

once my mouth wasn't filled with food i turned back to him, "are you going today?" i ask.

"to the premier of that movie?" i nod in response and he continues, "yeah of course, my managers would kill me if i didn't."

"that's good, i always get worried that the jacks will like have to leave me and i'll be alone at these things." i reply.

"ill be there, so you won't be alone, that's what friends are for right?"

"right." i respond and smile, looking back at my breakfast.

after a couple of hours of changing my outfit multiple times and making the guys take turns helping me curl my hair, we were all finally ready to go to our event. i gave myself one last look in the mirror and started walking down the stairs at the same time that i heard gilinsky call my name.

"leena, you have thirty seconds or we're leaving without you! we've already made the uber wait long enough!"

"who pissed in your cereal today?" i asked, once i finally reached the group of boys.

they all gave me small compliments on the way i looked in my red dress and black lace up heels. i blushed and pushed them all out the door so we wouldn't be late.

i was the last one in the house, holding the door open to make sure everyone made it out of the house, sometimes i swear being with these boys is the equivalent of being a mom.

"you look really pretty today, leena. like amazingly pretty." shawn pipes up once he's passing me to go out the door. it turns out we were the last two and everyone else was already at the car.

"thank you, shawn." i smile and blush, never really knowing how to respond to compliments, especially in a situation like ours.

"well, shall we head out?" he asks, offering me his arm.

"let's do this." i say, placing my hand on his arm. with that we meet the rest of our crew and head out to take on the night.
