Hirunaka no Ryuusei (Manga)

Plot: 15-year-old country girl, Suzume Yosano, has to move to Tokyo to live with her uncle due to her father's transfer. She bumps into a mysterious man who ends up taking her to her uncle's place after she gets lost. Turns out, Suzume will be seeing him a lot more often once she starts school because... he's her homeroom teacher!?

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars!

My Opinion: Well let me first explain that I had no idea this was a teacher and student romance. I saw a picture of a manga guy that looked absolutely cute and I was like "Cute manga guy! Reading it!" I had thought the guy in the picture was going to be the guy Yosano will fall in love with and it will be about the two of them. But when I started to read it, I realized that it was a teacher and student relationship. I was thinking about leaving it when I realized that Yosano wasn't going to be with Mamura (the cute manga guy picture was Mamura) but stuck with it and little by little, I was soon rooting for Sensei. Anyways, in my opinion, this manga is the best. The mangaka is really good keeping you on the edge of your seat and begging for more. You get to see Yosano's relationship both with Sensei and Mamura, which makes things complicated because you have a pretty hard time trying to decide which guy you really want her to be with (if you're like me and a few other people). Or you could be on Team Mamura and totally root for him but there will be moments you think there are sweet moments between Sensei and Yosano even though you're rooting for Mamura and vice versa. A lot of readers are actually going pretty crazy over this manga so far. A lot are for Team Mamura but also there is a good amount that's still Team Sensei and then there are the few that are I think are in a mix. They lean for Team Mamura but then Sensei will do something to make you lean the other way (which I'm part of that mix).

Favorite Character: It's real hard. I love them all but if I seriously had to choose... it will be Mamura. He's very sweet and he's funny when he's shy or when he blushes. When you see his relationship with Yosano, you really find him adorable and sweet and I think they do make a cute couple. Mamura can be mean at times but he's sweet in the inside ^.^

Favorite Couple: I seriously cannot answer this one. I love Yosano with Sensei and after reading a certain chapter, I hope she ends up with Sensei but at the same time I don't want Mamura to end up sad or hurt so I also want her to be with Mamura. If she ends up with Sensei, wonderful! I hope Mamura finds a girl then. If she ends up with Mamura, wonderful! I hope Sensei finds a girl then. Whichever one she doesn't choose, I hope that one gets a happy ending.

My Last Thoughts: This manga is complicated but extremely good and the mangaka is good at keeping you begging for more. I mean the mangaka leaves you on a cliffhanger a lot of the time which is quite killing as well. This manga actually made me think a lot. There were some things that Yosano said that made me think about some things and then also I usually end up imagining that if I was in her shoes, what would I do? Or how would I have handled this or that situation.

I'm not exactly sure how this manga will end but I kind of think I know what's going to happen next. If it goes that way I think it will go, I'll be excited but also sad for the character that I think Yosano will be leaving in the end. I don't want him to be sad or hurt, so I wonder how the mangaka is going to sort everything out in the end and will that character get a happy ending in the end? I hope he does.

This manga leaves you on the edge of your seat and you have three teams to choose from. Team Mamura, all rooting for Daiki Mamura and hoping he will end up with Yosano and hopes Sensei will just leave Yosano alone. Team Sensei, all rooting for Sensei Satsuki Shishio and hoping that Sensei will end up with Yosano and that Mamura will leave her alone and last but not least, what I like to call, Team Mix! Not really rooting Mamura but not really rooting for Sensei either because you like them both and you're good whichever one Yosano ends up with. Just hopefully the guy she doesn't end up with, he'll still get a good and happy ending. I was at first Team Mamura but I slowly went over to Team Sensei and back to Team Mamura after chapter 47 but now... I'm in the Team Mix because I want her to be with Sensei but I want her to be with Mamura, so either way, whoever she chooses I'll be happy. I will also feel sad for the one she didn't pick as well. But still, whoever she picks, I'll be happy with unless it is some complete random character that didn't exist at first and just randomly popped up... that would be quite an interesting ending actually haha.
