Chapter 11

Ziva

Tony told me that him and Gibbs had some news for me. I hope they have a development in the case, and want to share it with me. Something is troubling me though. Earlier the doctor asked me about my headaches. I've been having them for years, and never thought anything of them. I am used to them now, and whenever they bother me i just take something for it.

I wonder if something is wrong with me, and that's why I am still in the hospital, despite the fact i'm fine now. I can't wait for Tony and Gibbs to get here. I'm so bored.

Tony

Me and Gibbs are planning how we should tell Ziva that she can't be a field agent for awhile. The doctors told us that her chronic headaches can be dangerous for her to continue as a field agent. The compromise that we came up with is that if she talks to somebody about her life, like a therapist, and more tests, she will be allowed to be a field agent. She's going to be so mad when we tell her that she will be on desk duty for a year, possibly longer. I hope Gibbs will take the lead on telling her, because she won't be mad at Gibbs, but she'll definetely be mad at me.

At the hospital:

Ziva, we have some good news for you, and some bad news. The bad news is that you have chronic headaches, due to the stress of your job. The doctors don't want you to work for at least a year in the field, but we made a deal with them, that allows you to work at NCIS doing desk work, as long as you see a therapist for the duration of you not working, and slightly after it.

After a long pause: Ziva

I can't believe that they are taking away my badge. This job is my life, and they plan on taking it away from me. I guess there are worse punishments, and since this is the collaboration they came up with, the other option is me not being allowed to work at NCIS at all. I wonder what would happen if I continued to work in the field... Would anything bad actually happen?
