This is a crossover with the (unfortunately) discontinued show Castle. However you do not need to have watched Castle before, everything is covered in the oneshot. Enjoy! (The pic above is Castle and Beckett btw)

"You can't give me a partner!"
"They aren't partners exactly... more like shadows."
"Not happening, Graham."
"Sherlock... maybe this is for the best."
"Stay out of this Molly."
Molly Hooper flinched at Sherlock Holmes' sharp words, though he paid no mind. He stood facing Lestrade, a scowl on his face and icy eyes narrowed. Molly could tell Lestrade was having a hard time keeping his composure under the consulting detective's frosty stare. He took a shaky breath and straightened his posture, meeting Sherlock's gaze with determination.
"Do you want to work on this case or not, Sherlock Holmes?" Sherlock raised an eyebrow, as if amused. Lestrade continued, "we both know very well that I can certainly ban Molly from allowing you access to the morgue and the lab, and I know for this case you will need both. Now you will get along with these two if you want to keep working on this case, understand?"
Molly blinked, her eyebrows shot up. Sherlock stared at Lestrade with narrowed eyes, Lestrade looking like he had just won an award. Molly blinked again, by their books he might as well have.
Sherlock sighed, rolling his eyes, "fine. I'll work with them. But that doesn't mean I have to play nice with them!"
Sherlock turned to stalk off and Molly scrabbled to catch up. "Yes it does!" Lestrade called from behind them and Molly heard Sherlock release a loud groan.
She hurried to keep up with Sherlock's long strides, scrambling with her notes. "Who are they?" Was all Sherlock asked. Molly bit her lip to keep from sighing. However proud she was of Lestrade, sour Sherlock was definitely not going to help their progress on the case.
"Um, Kate Beckett of the NYPD in America and novelist Richard Castle. Apparently he isn't really a police officer but works with them anyway. By the looks of it they make quite the team. They've solved literally hundreds of murder and-"
Sherlock sighed, interrupting Molly. "That'll be enough, thank you. Now why are they here?"
Molly ignored Sherlock's retort as her eyes skimmed the notes, "they've discovered that a notorious baddy they've been following has made his way over to England. They made a few calls to keep their case and now they're here."
Sherlock stopped, sighing. Molly almost tripped but quickly regained her composure. "Alright," he said with another exaggerated sigh, "let's go meet them."
Molly rolled her eyes as she and Sherlock made their way to the door in which their future partners were behind. Molly paused, listening to the voices that rose from the behind the wall.
"I'm telling you, he couldn't have gotten that far!"
"Well he certainly got far when state-hopping. Five different murders in five different states, all by the same guy, Castle!"
"Can't we just go get coffee? I wanna try my accent."
"Castle come on, get serious. Look at this- there has to be a pattern somewhere in this mess!"
Molly raised an eyebrow as Sherlock opened the door, his face annoyed. She tiptoed in after him, looking at the scene in front of them. A gorgeous woman stood staring intently at a board that was decorated with pictures and dry erase markings, pointing around it wildly to the handsome man that stood next to her. Neither noticed Sherlock and Molly were there until Sherlock spoke.
