"Shit! Molly get down!" Molly let out a small yelp as she pressed down against the wooden crate, listening to the gunshots that sped past her. From beside her Sherlock shot more into the darkness, letting out a small gasp when shots came firing back at him.
Sherlock crouched back down behind the box, his eyes flicking wildly around the warehouse.
"Where did Beckett and Castle go?" Molly whispered, her heart pumping.
Sherlock raised a finger to his lips and pointed on the other side of Molly. She followed his point to see Castle frantically working to disarm the silent bomb, its red light flashing rapidly.
"He's not getting anywhere with it," Molly said, her heart dropping. Sherlock didn't answer and when Molly looked up she saw he had rolled to behind a different crate. Molly sighed.
She frantically waved her arms to get Castle's attention, smiling when he looked up. She mouthed, 'push the bomb to me' but frowned when Castle just tilted his head, confusion written across his face.
Molly bit her lip, she pointed to the bomb, made a pushing motion, then pointed to herself. Bewilderment flashed across Castle's face. 'The bomb?!' He mouthed to her incredulously. Molly nodded frantically.
Castle looked between the bomb and the pathologist, fear written across his face when he finally pushed it over. The bomb slid across the smooth floor, the wheels squeaking noisily. Gunshots rang dangerously close between Castle and Molly but graciously the bomb didn't get hit.
Sherlock fired rapid shots at their killer, who was masked by the darkness, and Molly could hear shots coming from above their heads, undoubtedly from Beckett.
Molly scrabbled to remember Sherlock's teachings when the bomb stopped at her feet, her hands hovering over the tangled wires. She looked back at Sherlock for help but let out a shaky breath as he rapidly shot into the darkness, concentrated.
She took a deep breath as searched the depths of her mind. What was he had said?!
There's always an off button, things can go wrong if there's not an off button.
Molly blinked. It was a long shot, but at this point any shot was a good one. She frantically searched for anything that looked similar to an off button, the rapid blinking of the red light going faster. Finally she saw something, an unlabeled switch hidden in the deep mass of tangles.
Molly took a deep breath, closed her eyes tightly, and flicked off the switch, preparing for the worst. She smiled when nothing happened, a giddy pride swelling in her.
"It's off!" Molly cried, "I disabled the bomb!" She heard Castle let out a whoop as she turned to find Sherlock in the evading darkness. She saw his lithe figure crouched behind a crate, the gun pressed to his side.
Suddenly, in the warehouse there was a grunt and rapid footsteps. Immediately Sherlock was up, rapidly firing his gun into the darkness in hopes of catching the killer. It wasn't long before Beckett joined in the hunt, Molly and Castle ducking and covering their heads.
Suddenly, a loud shriek ripped through the darkness and immediately the gunshots ceased. Sherlock flew over the crate, sprinting into the darkness holding a flashlight between his teeth.
Sure enough, the killer lay rolling on the ground in pain, clutching his shoulder as the blood began to pool under him. Sherlock looked on proudly as Beckett, Castle, and Molly sprinted over, smirking when Beckett bent down and snapped handcuffs on the killer.
"Dante Marx, you are arrested for," Beckett sighed, tilting her chin to the side, "a lot of freaking murders."
She rattled off the names of the victims as Sherlock pulled out his phone, quickly dialing the number of Scotland Yard. Castle and Molly exchanged a glance, the excitement and thrill evident on their faces. Molly grinned proudly, hardly believing she had just help catch a murderer.
"Are you sure you guys have to go?" Molly asked with a frown, knitting her eyebrows together at Beckett and Castle who had suitcases in tow.
Beckett nodded, "we're back off to America. It was really a pleasure working with you guys." She reached her hand out but Molly grinned and instead took the skilled detective in a hug, laughing when she hugged the pathologist back.
Castle grinned and kissed Molly on the cheek, hugging her tightly.
"We'll miss you too, pathologist," he said, smiling broadly. Molly could see Sherlock frowning in the corner of her eye but she leaned into Castle's hug, his smile spreading to her face.
"Well, we'll see you guys!" Castle said once he and Beckett had bid farewell to the consulting detective as well. Sherlock half-glared at Castle's back as he left, his eyes trailing the taxi.
"What are you looking at?" Molly asked curiously. Sherlock's icy glare turned to her and Molly had to to keep herself from shifting under his intense stare.
Suddenly, Sherlock had swooped down to Molly, pressing her against the wall to the lab and pressing his lips into hers. Molly let out a small yelp, shocked at Sherlock's sudden show of passion, but found herself sinking into his fervorous touch.
"Remember," Sherlock growled when he pulled back from Molly, his gaze cool while she was left gasping for breath, "no matter what anyone may do, you'll always be my pathologist."
Molly stared at him, her eyes raking across his face carefully. She could have sworn something that looked like fear flashed across the detective's face but was gone as quickly as it had come. Molly slowly leaned in, softly kissing Sherlock. He seemed relieved at her touch, tangling his fingers in Molly's hair.
"Alright," she whispered into his skin, "I'm all yours."
