Guess who's still alive? And guess who's also late on the Christmas game? And the New Years...
Crap.
Oh well, enjoy what you can!

"Sorry. What?"
"Oh come on. Don't make me say it again."
"Mm, say what?"
"John."
"Sherlock."
Sherlock Holmes stood glaring at the shorter man before him. His hands were stuffed in his pockets and chin tilted down, a glower on his face. John smirked at Sherlock as he leaned against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest.
"I need... your... help. John."
The blonde/grey man's smirk widened and he pushed off the wall, "what do you need help with?"
Sherlock sighed, "Molly. I don't know what to get her for Christmas."
John raised an eyebrow, "Jeez Sherlock, it's Christmas Eve! You'd think you'd remember, it's been what, a year and a half now?"
Sherlock looked out the window, his gaze distant and far off. "Has it? We've been dating for a year and a half but it feels like it's been a century," he said, his voice lowered to a murmur.
John blinked, trying to hide his surprise as he stared, wide-eyed, at Sherlock. The detective finally blinked, his eyebrows furrowing as he tore his now back-to-reality self from the window.
"Don't tell anyone I said that," he growled to John. The shorter man held his hands up in surrender but the smirk on his face didn't fade as Sherlock continue. "Anyway, I need to get her something good. Something meaningful."
John grinned, "alright," he said, "I know just the place to start."
-
"Dresses?"
"Yeah. You can use your skills of deduction to pick out the perfect dress, you know Molly, uh, well enough."
John smirked, ignoring the glare from Sherlock as they stood in front of the store. The detective sighed.
"We've already gone dress shopping," his glare intensified when John's smirk widened, "besides, I'm not getting her a dress. I need to get her something with-"
"Sentimental value?"
Sherlock nodded, eyeing the shop warily, "sentimental value. Exactly."
John nodded, "well we're in town, let's wander and see if anything catches your eye. There's plenty here." Sherlock let his gaze look down the cobblestone streets. He let out a small sigh and nodded.
"How very helpful you're being," he mumbled, beginning down the sidewalk before John could protest.
And so they walked, multiple stores being pointed out by John and the same stores being dismissed by Sherlock without a second glance.
"I don't understand," protested John, "how nothing in here could catch your eye. You're being unreasonable-" John cut off when he suddenly realized Sherlock wasn't walking by him. He paused, looking around only to spot the familiar dark head of hair facing towards a... toy store? John made his way to Sherlock, standing by him and gazing at the store.
"Seriously? This one?"
"I'll be right back," Sherlock replied brusquely, going into the store before John could get out another word. He groaned and rolled his eyes as the dark coat disappeared into the store, though sat patiently on the bench nearby.
