Thank you so much! I love it!Not even bothering to drive his black SUV to the Pack's hospital due to the urgency, Alpha Hayes ripped off his shirt and began morphing into his wolf as he darted in the direction of the hospital. Effortlessly, his bones erupted in deafening pops as fur sprouted from his new form as his amber eyes flashed brightly in contrast to the silk, black fur that coated Hayes as the sun glinted off of his fur allowing his wolf to appear almost godly.
Hayes' paws ricocheted off of the ground as he raced through the tree lines, dodging in and out of obstacles, pushing himself as fast as he could possibly go in order to reach the hospital in as little time as possible. The heat of the Obsession Pack's summer hammered down upon Hayes' black fur forcing him to pant harder as he silently cursed his pack's climate in his mind as he reached the hospital.
"Alpha Hayes," Dr Richard greeted him upon his arrival handing him a pair of shorts as he shifted back into his muscular human form. Sweat gleamed off of Alpha Hayes' skin from the run and the lack of a shirt revealed his nicely formed six pack that would make any of the promiscuous girls of the Affection Pack drool over him. He bent his knees slightly and leaned down on them to steady his breathing.
Although werewolves, it was a rare occasion that one would shift into their wolf. It was often said that if a werewolf was to shift too often then their primal instinct would take over making them inhumane monsters- it was said to be the cause of why many rogues had become rogues.
"Dr Richard, I got here as fast as I could," Alpha Hayes replied with his smooth voice gracefully and effortlessly pronouncing every letter in his thick Obsession Pack dialect. "Lead the way."
Dr Richard walked briskly along the corridors of the pack hospital with his Alpha walking close behind him. They abruptly halted outside of a metal door that had been bolted from the outside. Hayes cocked an eyebrow in confusion at the doctor whilst the doctor's lips drew into a thin line giving him a warning sign. This wasn't the room that Fay had last been in only 45 minutes ago. He sucked in a deep, sharp breath as Richard finally unbolted and opened the door.
Fay was sat in the middle of the room on a chair strapped down securely with thick leather straps and buckles.
"Richard as much as I respect you, you better have a damn good reason for this," Hayes began, his eyes clouding with fury.
"Alpha, Fay is insane. I rarely say that about people but whatever has happened to her, it broke her. It broke her sanity. It broke her soul. I fear there is little I can do. Never have I seen such a case such as this." Hayes had never witnessed Richard cry over a patient but, standing here, he was on the verge of tears.
"The restraints?"
Richard sighed.
"After you left she found the scalpels, arranged them in a circle and sat in the middle of them. I sat with her for a while outside of the circle, trying to convince her, begging her, to lay in her bed away from them but she got defensive. Fay began crying, screaming about how I would torture her. And then she froze as if the world stopped. One of the nurses came in and that's when Fay grabbed a scalpel in her hand trying to defend herself. We had to sedate her with a weakened strain of silver."
Hayes turned his face to observe the tears streaming down Fay's cheeks as she muttered odd words to herself. All Hayes could comprehend was words such as "drown", "burn", "stop" along with nervous laughing between words as she seemed completely oblivious and innocent to world around her which caused anger to run through his veins at the thought of someone damaging such a fragile, young girl. Hayes slowly walked and crouched beside her, looking up into her grey, teary eyes.
"Fay, you need to answer some questions for me dear," Hayes ordered using his Alpha tone forcing her to flinch and whimper.
"Who did this to you?"
"Master Damien. You can't tell him that I told you. He won't like that and he might hurt me even more."
Damien. That name was familiar. All too familiar. He glanced at Richard with a look of thought upon his face.
"Do you know his last name or what pack he was from?"
She shook her head but furrowed her eyebrows. "Some of the guards called him Alpha sometimes."
Something in Alpha Hayes' brain clicked immediately. Alpha Damien, the exiled Alpha of the Possession Pack. Four years back an uprising, supported by all Alphas, was lead against Alpha Damien as he became power hungry over his pack- the Possession Pack. His desire and corruption for power over everything almost caused a series of wars between packs to break out as he attempted to battle for land, power and women.
He had turned ruthless after his mate, Luna Poppy, had passed during child birth along with his still-born baby girl. He turned to slaughtering any woman that resembled his mate in the slightest way and if he crossed a couple in love he would kill one of them for if he could no longer be with his soul mate or could no longer be happy then nobody would be able to live a happily ever after.
He set out determined to find the perfect replacement for his mate- kidnapping various girls from different packs and killing them off when displeased him in any way. That was, until he kidnapped Fay and he became possessive over her. She was his mate's replacement and he would have her.
"Fay, I can assure you that no harm will come to you here. I'm holding a meeting with all of the Alphas."
"You can't cure me. I'm screwed up in the fucking head," she sobbed, "kill me. Please kill me I don't want to hurt someone else."
It felt as though his blood had become tar in his body as his heart constricted at her broken words. It was as though an insatiable fire had hungrily engulfed all of the oxygen within him.
"I will not harm you. We will not harm you. There has to be a cure out there. Think about your mate Fay, think about the undeniable love and understanding that you will share with him, fight for him, fight for yourself Fay, fight for your future. You are better than him, than this."
"I'll fight for my mate. But please, Alpha, don't let me hurt anyone else. I don't want to be a monster. This isn't me," she whispered sounding shattered.
Hayes' promised mentally that he would do whatever he could to save her.
He knew the Moon Goddess put them both along that road that day. Obsession took over him as he decided that he would do anything and everything to save Fay.

Author's NoteWhy is Hayes so obsessed with helping Fay?
Is it natural or is there something in his past that makes him like this?"If you're always trying to be normal you will never know how amazing you can be" ~Maya Angelou
