Fay

Everything was cold; her body; her mind; her soul. Ryder would make everything better. But Ryder wasn't there to take away the mental numbness that corrupted Fay's entire being.

Blood dropped out of her finger tips from where her nails had been wrenched out from her nail beds and forming bruises, leaving purple stains upon her face, littered across her porcelain skin. Ropes sliced into her wrists and in this moment it was that Fay realised- life isn't made for everyone. And it wasn't made for her.

"You're still here, your boy-toy hasn't come to rescue you. Do you know why that is, Fay?"

"Maybe he can't find me, I know he hasn't given up on me," she whispered back, her voice hoarse from all of the crying.

"I sent him a letter telling him of your exact location," Damien smirked, "he doesn't want to find you, he doesn't care to find you. Don't you see, Fay? I'm the only one in this world who cares about you. I love you so much that I am willing to teach you how to be a better version of yourself."

Damien knew how to enter Fay's head and confuse her by lying and manipulating her to the extreme. He watched as tears began to fall from her eyes and as he imagined his late me in her place, he almost felt guilty when seeing the tears. But she wasn't his true mate and so it almost made him joyful when he saw that he was breaking her.

'He doesn't want me?' she whispered brokenly. Her heart almost shattered at that very feeling, it was as though her entire world had stopped spinning, her heart had stopped beating and the oxygen in the earth had been switched off.

'No, my dear,' Damien said, pretending to offer her some sympathy for Fay's dejected emotion.

'Will you keep me?'

'I will keep you until the day you die, I will have you and look after you the way that you deserve to be looked after. You will serve me in return in the way that I desire and we will have a happy life together, that is my promise to you, Fay,' he gently brushed her hair from her face, looking directly into her eyes. She was his possession and now she would have no desire to escape if she thought that her mate wasn't looking for her or didn't want her back. Fay was his property.

'Please can you stop hurting me? I won't run, I'll be good again, I swear. I have nothing to run to anymore, I have nobody who will want me anymore, please. I just want to be cared for again,' she cried into Damien's hands.

'I can heal you, and I will but first you have to know that you can't run from me again. This entire place is guarded now and you will not make it very far. You will rarely be far from my sight. I want you by my side at almost every part of the day so I can see my precious beauty whenever I desire. You must understand, Fay, that you are mine and mine alone. My mate died many years ago and your mate no longer wants you, it is destiny that we have been brought together,' he murmured as he left her side to get a strange liquid from the side.

'What about the past? What about when you left me?'

'The past is the past. It is exactly that and it shall stay behind us, but the future, now that is something to look forward to. You are mine, we will be happy. Of course, you will have to do as is told as normal but that shouldn't be too difficult for you now should it, pet?' Damien asked as he mixed some liquids together and stirred them with a spoon. 'Drink this.'

'Yes, but what is it?'

'It will make you feel better, I'm sure you're in much pain but now we've established where you stand in authority then I shouldn't need to do this to you again. Am I correct?'

'Yes, Damien. I won't misbehave, I swear to the Moon Goddess just please, please don't hurt me again,' she pleaded, shivering at the memories of the past and what he had jut done to her. She looked down at her empty nail beds that just had blood splattered all over them.

'We'll see, I won't do it unless you need to be taught a lesson in obedience. Now, drink up and you will be feeling better very soon,' Damien handed her the glass with a strange coloured liquid in it and observed as she drink it. She winced at the taste of it and stopped drinking when she was almost finished. 'And the rest, my love.'

She looked up at him before looking back down at the liquid and chucking the rest of it into the back of her throat, not wanting to anger Damien once again.

'Good girl, see now you will get a reward for good behaviour,' he smiled at her as he walked over to a cupboard where he took out a first aid kit and walked back over to her. 'I'll clean up your wounds so you don't get infected or hurt them worse. It'll help heal them with minimal scars to you.'

'Thank you.'

'You're welcome, my dear. So tell me, what happened while you were away? Tell me about your mate,' Damien demanded. He knew what he was doing do her by making her speak whilst he was clearing up the wounds that he inflicted. He was creating a shield of false reassurance and a false sense of love. In her mind, Damien was the one who was there taking care of her whilst Ryder was elsewhere not even looking for her and Damien knew that by making her speak of him then this would be a prominent feature in her head.

'My mate was Ryder, Alpha of the Force Pack. Alpha Hayes found me though and took care of me for a little while,' Fay trailed off not wanting to speak about it but not wanting to anger Damien either.

'Tell me more about Ryder,' he said as he wiped the dried blood from her nail beds and began to bandage them up.

'He was nice, very gentle, he took care of me, but his anger scared me,' she admitted.

'So he took care of you but he couldn't even look for you?' Damien raised an eyebrow and looked up from bandaging her hands.

'I mean, he did when he found me but I think he must have gotten bored of me or maybe didn't like that I'm not very well in the mind,' Fay looked down.

'But I will love you, Fay. In sickness and in health. And death is when we will part.'

So Damien is a sick, twisted fuck. And Fay is so far gone that reality and lies have been blurred in her mind.

Fun fact: I'm in and out of hospital right now so I'm very tired. RIP. (Also the 'fun' was very sarcastic lmao).

Happy thoughts. Happy thoughts. Happy thoughts.
