Pulling up outside of the estate in which the Alpha meeting would be held at in just a few mere minutes, Alpha Hayes, Alpha Arlo and Dexter left the vehicle to be greeted with the hot, humid heat of the Obsession Pack, several powerful men gathered outside of the grand entrance and various, seemingly lighthearted, conversations with occasional laughter.
The trio wandered around greeting all of the Alphas and meeting some of the Lunas that had recently taken their position after being found by their mate.
"Alphas, I welcome you to my pack. Should you need anything during your stay then, please, do not hesitate to request it. We have much to discuss, shall we proceed?" Hayes greeted ensuring to show mutual respect towards the other Alphas so there wouldn't be a power battle from the very beginning.
With sharp nods of the head in agreement, Hayes took the lead in entering the building leading the powerful men and a few Lunas into the building and towards the conference room.
The building resembled an old Victorian country grand estate with incredible gardens. Grass greener than the deepest of green emeralds grew, flowers of all types, sizes, colours and scents blossomed giving the estate a pleasant summer vibe that brightened even the gloomiest of persons mood and a marble fountain, spraying the clearest of water, sat in the centre of the driveway of the estate.
The Obsession Pack had always been renowned for its glamorous estates and luxuries, though, everybody knew nothing would ever compare to the luxuries of the Sybarite Pack who's morals surround being materialistic and indulging in extravagant luxuries.
The room was rather simple but in an elegant manner. Oak framed windows, a single portrait of Alpha Hayes, white-washed walls and a magnificent crystal chandelier hung from above the table where the Alphas would sit.
Finding their name, they took their assigned seats at a large mahogany business-style table that stretched to seat twenty two people.
"Alphas, and Lunas, I am truly grateful that you could meet with me in such short time and in such urgency. A problem from our past has potentially arisen once more. Only this time a young, vulnerable girl has fallen victim to this monstrosity. We need to eliminate this threat once and for all. Do we have an accord Alphas and Lunas?"
"With all due respect Hayes, how can we have an accord when we do not know what that threat is?" Alpha Silus commented leaning forward clasping his hands together on the desk in front of him. His cold eyes seemed to be calculating and judging every move that Hayes made. "For all we know you could be tricking us into doing your dirty work for you."
An awkward silence coated the room making it nearly impossible to breathe. Some Alphas considered that possibility whilst others struggled to comprehend a motive that Hayes may have.
"A little bit rich coming from you hey Silus? What is your pack nicknamed again? Ahhh yes, the trickster pack," Alpha Freddie jeered.
"You call my pack it's entitled name Freddie or you speak not of it," Silus retorted trying to remain calm at the infuriating Alpha of the Liberation Pack.
"Getting a little bit too high and mighty there Silus?" Freddie smirked.
"Getting a little bit too irritating there Freddie?" Silus snapped back.
"Enough you two. We are here to find a solution to a problem, not to arise more issues to solve. And to answer your question Silus, you need not worry- I have the girl here who was tortured along with my pack's best doctor. I have reason to believe she was taken by rogues. She should be returned to her rightful pack and reunited with her family if possible."
"Who's the threat? What did they do and why?" Silus interjected.
"I have reason to believe Damien is responsible. The exiled Alpha of the Possession Pack. Fay, the girl, informed me that he was referred to as 'Alpha' at times by guards who worked for him." Hayes say observing everyone's reactions. Some responded in shock, others confusion, some in disbelief and then there was Silus- rolling his eyes and shaking his head.
