Fay walked in rather timidly whilst attempting to shy away behind Hayes and Dr Richard- but she could feel multiple eyes burning into her. Hayes pulled up a chair and placed it next to his as a guided Fay to it, gently forcing her to sit. Her golden hair fell, covering her face like a curtain, as her fingers clasped her shirt tightly trying find some sort of comfort whilst she quietly muttered incoherent words to herself.
"She looks so similar to his late mate," Carter whispered as he leaned forward attempting to look at Fay closer and hear what she was muttering.
As she spoke to herself she began to rock backwards and forwards slightly. Dr Richard gently placed his hand on her shoulder as he spoke to her in her ear so that nobody else could hear. Her rocking stilled but the words kept slipping from her mouth.
"Fay, dear, can you-" before Arlo could finish his sentence, a glass came hurtling towards him as he ducked just in time to find the glass smashed against the wall in line with where his head had been.
"He called me that," was all Fay said in a broken whisper.
Some of the Lunas shifted uncomfortably in their seats as the Alphas glanced at Dr Richard, Fay and Hayes.
"Lunas, with all due respect I must ask you to leave this room," Hayes stated leaving no room for discussion, "your mates would be very angry if you were to be harmed in anyway."
Nobody disagreed, or even protested, as the 5 Lunas that attended left the room without another word. The Alphas that had mates visibly relaxed now that their mates were away from any threats - such as flying glasses.
"I have to say you have an excellent aim Fay," Arlo grinned, "but I would prefer it you didn't try to damage my gorgeous face."
"It's a shame it didn't hit you," Silus groaned as Arlo shot him a charming smile.
The Alphas proceeded to hold discussions about Fay, Damien and a cure for her as they conferred with Dr Richard about the best approach for treatments.
"Medication may work but that isn't really a long term solution and it may actually be worse for her both physically and mentally in the long run," Dr Richard explained. "Then there are various legends- some of which could cause death or we could wait to see if her brain fixes itself or the Moon Goddess cures her."
"How likely is it that her brain will fix itself? How long may that take?" Ryder asked.
"Maybe never, Alpha Ryder, or it could be many years. Unfortunately, we do not know completely what this girl has been through so it's difficult to evaluate her current mentality."
"Her current mentality is marvellously insane," Arlo chuckled. Fay glared at him and reached for another glass which Freddie managed to move out of her way first. Silus attempted to suppress a laugh.
Discussing various legends and medications, the Alphas returned to the topic of curing Fay, after all, she was a threat after throwing knives and glasses. Being so deep in discussion, the Alphas didn't notice Fay standing and walking towards the window. There she just stood watching the outside world. She wanted to go outside- she longed for the feeling of the grass beneath her toes and the soft wind flowing through her golden locks. Fay wanted to feel the gentle warmth of the sun resting on her skin as the light made her hair glow. For 9 years she had been caged like an animal and she'd had enough.
