Hayes ran ahead hardly needing to break a sweat as his arms shot out around Fay's waist and pulled her back into his arms with her back hitting her chest. Heart broken screams along with sobs left Fay as she struggled. Regaining his composure, Ryder walked over gently towards her as Hayes held her.
"Fay," Ryder whispered brokenly as he crouched down beside her feet and looked up into her eyes, "Fay you need to calm down." But her thrashing around and screaming continued as the rest of the Alphas gathered outside and gathered around the scene.
"No, no, no I didn't mean to I'm sorry! Please! Don't make me. I'm sorry!" Fay cried as she struggled for breath, collapsing to the floor. Before she could hit the ground, Ryder brought his arms around her making her freeze for a moment before she tried to scramble back with wide eyes.
"Shhh, stop Fay. You'll hurt yourself," Ryder whispered with tears threatening to fall. Everyone around them focused just on the interaction between Ryder and Fay for nobody had seen the Alpha of the Force Pack cry or be so gentle towards someone or have the tolerance to be patient with a screaming crying girl- he usually told them to shut up... Or made them.
Her tears stopped and confusion swirled in her blues eyes as she looked in wonder at the man holding her, down at her body and back towards Ryder again. Sobs turned to gentle hiccups and her breathing shallower to a regular pace. Ryder smiled at the small, petite girl in Hayes' arms as he allowed his hands to run through her hair being careful of the tangles.
"Do you know who I am?" Ryder whispered as he wiped away the remaining tears left on her face to which she shook her head no. He sighed before explaining. "I'm Alpha Ryder of the Force Pack Fay. I'm your mate. Do you know what that means?"
Fay furrowed her brow but nodded a yes and then shook her head a no. She understood the basic concepts of mates but she never really understood everything about them. Only that the Moon Goddess and Fate together came together to decide mates and that they should look after one another and care for one another. There is also a mating process but Fay had never learnt much about that- only that it hurts if it's with the wrong person and she didn't want it with her captor.
"It's okay if you don't understand but I can promise you that we won't do anything until you're ready. Do you understand Fay? Do you understand that I won't hurt you?" Ryder murmured in her ear sending a shiver trailing down her spine. She simply shrugged making Ryder sigh in disappointment.
"Speak to me Fay, I want to know you understand me. Can you speak to me Fay?" Ryder pleaded whilst standing up and cradling her in his arms bridal style.
"Yes," Fay had whispered so quietly.
"Thank you, my beautiful mate. We'll get you better, I can't take away the memories but we'll get you better, I'll look after you. You'll be my perfect little Luna," he assured her albeit it sounded as though he was assuring himself at the same time.
"Luna?" Fay whispered.
"Do you know what a Luna is?" To which Fay nodded her head still trembling slightly in his hold. "I'm Alpha of the Force Pack and an Alpha needs his Luna which will be you. It can wait a little while Fay but don't worry I'll help you through it. You're so strong. So, so strong. I'll teach you everything you need don't worry."
All of the Alphas watched in amazement at the Alpha of Force finding his mate and the loving, protective nature he felt towards this girl even if he knew very little about her and even through her mental insanity.
"Shall we resume the meeting Alphas?" Arlo asked, clearly asking the question more towards Ryder.
"Ryder, we can postpone the meeting until tomorrow if you two would like some time to... to get aquatinted so to speak," Alpha Carter interjected before anyone had to opportunity to answer.
Fay looked at her hands in her lap as she wished to just disappear rather than stay in the view of so many powerful men. She swore she felt Ryder kiss her head ever so slightly as he squeezed her gently but the feeling was so gentle, so soft, that she couldn't tell if he had actually kissed her.
"Fay and I need some alone time, there's a lot that she needs explained to her. Would you be okay with that Fay?"
She shrugged her shoulders still keeping her head down towards her hands in her lap as Ryder held her.
"Ryder, would it be an idea if you were to perhaps stay in my mansion with me for the rest of your stay? Luna Fay has become familiar with Doctor Richard and myself so it may be a little less... daunting if she were to stay somewhere reasonably familiar," Hayes asked whilst analysing Fay's anxious behaviour that he was sure the rest of the Alphas had picked up on.
"Would you like that?" Ryder whispered in her ear. Fay shrugged feeling a very strange at the close proximity between them. She knew that they were mates but she didn't understand the strange flow of sparks running through her- only these weren't like the day she got electrocuted, these were sparks of warmth, comfort, passion and love.
"Ryder won't be mad at you if you're nervous. Tell him how you feel, nobody here will hurt you," Alpha Carter spoke up. "He may have a tough reputation to say the least but you're his mate Fay, no harm will come to you, he'll ensure that , everyone here will ensure that."
"Would you like to stay back at my mansion with Ryder, Doctor Richard and myself?" Hayes asked again.
"Yes please sir," Fay mumbled sleepily. Ryder growled lowly.
"You don't address anyone one as sir or anything or the sort. You are a Luna."
"Sorry." Fay whispered as she slowly felt her eyes begin droop shut after all of the events. Ryder chuckled in disbelief at the fact that he had found his mate and although it was not under an ideal situation, he was thankful. He had never thought that he would need a mate, he thought that him being and alpha was fine enough for himself and the pack and he wouldn't have to deal with a woman hanging off his arm or lusting over him like many in his pack did. But she didn't do that. Hell, she was too scared to even really speak properly and freely to him at this stage in time.

Ryder carried Fay back inside and sat waiting for a car to come round to bring them back to Hayes' mansion. Her dark eyelashes fluttered softly on her cheeks that were too skinny, her face seem extremely gaunt, as did the rest of her body. Her full rosy pink lips were parted slightly, her hair hung limply over his arm as his other hand drew circles on her clothed legs.
Never had he thought that the Moon Goddess and Fate would match him with such a troubled, broken girl but Ryder knew that she was strong and surely blessed by the Moon Goddess to survive such hell, such torture that drove her into mental insanity. It felt perfect to have her in his arms and no matter what he had to walk through, he would get her better.
He was going to have to find a cure and fast.
