Dear Snow,

In this envelope, $1,000 is enclosed. Now, you may be wondering why.

Tonight, there is a ball.

Yes, a ball. With fancy dresses, tuxedos, and maybe a slight difference from the fairy tales.

Gang members.

For the event, you can bring two friends of your choice, and make sure they have dresses too.

Remember, because this is the most important thing.

I love you.

Love,

Andy.

I smiled and stuffed the envelope in my pocket. Putting a sleeping Vanity in the crib and leaving her in the car of my father (scary, I know), I stepped out of the house and towards my car.

After calling Kaylee nearly ten times, and concluding the fact that she wasn't ever going to pick up. I rang Amy, who picked up within the first 12 seconds.

"Hey babe."

"Hey, Amy. There's this ball thing at Andy's work and I was sort of wondering if you wanted to go."

"Yeah, Axel already invited me."

Okay, that was easy, I thought to myself grinning. "Meet me at the house in ten?"

Her 'mmhmm' was barely audible before she hung up and left me with no other choice than to call the girl I hadn't spoken to in months.

Haylei.

I typed in her cell phone number, and listened to my heart thud loudly in my chest.

"Hello?" She sounded confused.

"Haylei, it's Snow."

"Hi."

"I am going to this ball with Andy, his friend Axel, and Amy. And... I was wondering if you'd like to come."

When she didn't respond, I let out a sigh.

"Yeah sure. Pick me up in 15?"

"Yup."

I hopped in my car and waited until Amy pulled into my driveway, 10 minutes late. When she hopped in the car, I sped towards Haylei's house yelling at Amy like a madwoman. "How could you be that late?" I screamed. "I haven't seen her in like a year and I'm already making a bad impression."

"Calm down, she won't care." Pulling into her driveway, I see a flash of pink hair peek out of the door.

Gorgeous as ever, she pretty much skips to the car and plops in the back seat.

"So how's Vanity?" I hear her ask as a begin to drive to the mall.

"Good," I announce and pull into the parking lot. "She's adorable."

Pulling into a spot right outside of the mall entrance, we get inside and start shopping for dresses.

****

Amy and Haylei have already found their dresses, and I'm still looking. Amy's dress is a coral-colored, spaghetti-strapped, party dress that has millions of ruffles on the skirt.

Haylei's dress is emerald green and synchs at the waist, accentuating her figure. The edge of the dress is covered in diamonds.

As we go into Izabelle's Boutique, I gasp as I see the perfect dress. The whole top of the dress is dark blue but it fades into a sky blue. The bust is covered in diamonds, and when I try it on, I loved it even more.It fit me like a second skin, making me look like I had curves.

Amy picks out a pair of blue satin shoes and we go home, discussing how were going to get ready.

Once home, Haylei instructs me to sit in front of my vanity. Her and Amy study my hair, face, and body.

Haylei runs my platinum hair under some warm water and she pins a towel around me. Grabbing a brush and some scissors, she begins to cut my hair. It takes me 30 minutes of persuasion before this to agree. "Nothing crazy, just a few layers, I'll run to the store get some black dye and we'll redo the underneath." I take a peak in the mirror as she's cutting my hair and realize how different I look without the black.

After layering my hair, trimming my bangs, and dying the underneath black, she sends me to the shower.

She hands me a bottle of expensive shampoo, conditioner, a weird looking razor and some shaving cream, and I step inside the shower.

After blow drying my hair, Haylei is applying a thick green mask to my face, and Amy is pinning perfect ringlets to my head.

Haylei peels off the mask, applies intricate makeup, and I step into the dress. Amy gasps, " You look so beautiful."

I look in the mirror, at the girl in front of me, not even sure if it's still me.

I slip on the heels, and begin to make my way the stairs, heels clacking against each step. Haylei and Amy follow behind me, having gotten ready within less than half the time it took me.

Axel and Andy stood at the bottom of the stairs, in fitting tuxedos. When the see us, their jaws hangs open.

Andy wraps his arms around my waist. "Beautiful," he kisses my forehead. Wrapping one arm around me and leading me to the kitchen, where I see Vanity in her bounce chair, trying to kick her legs. I lifted her up and gently kissed her tussle of blonde hair laying on top of her head.

Her ice blue eyes pierce into mine, and her toothless smile makes me give a small laugh.

I rest her on my hip, bouncing from foot to foot. Andy stands across from me, watching me intently. "What?" I ask, smiling.

Vanity tries to reach her arms out to Andy and squeals. I hand her over and he smiles at her.She starts to babbles and make noises.

He plays with her for a bit and put her back in the bouncer, and we leave.

I sit in the front of Andy's car as Haylei watches in disgust, Axel and Amy making out.

Well, this should be interesting.

A.N.- Sorry for this being so short and the three month wait. Yeah. I'll try to make next longer;)
