So I'm new here, and this is the first story I'm posting. I've read a LOT on wattpad though. I'm not exactly sure how everything works here, but I'll work on it :) I hope you guys enjoy. I'll be posting more in.. Half an hour :)
It was a peaceful night. There was a full moon and some howling in the distance. The evergreen trees were barely visible through the dense fog. It was hot and humid, with mosquitoes flying everywhere, trying to suck on my blood. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, a large hairy creature jumps out of the eerie darkness.
I wake up with my head throbbing. I look outside my large, Victorian style window. There is no fog, no howling, and no terrifying creature. There isn't even a full moon out. It was just a dream. Absolutely not real. I check the time; it's 3:50 am. I walk silently down the hall. Our live-in maid, Jennifer, is fast asleep. I walk down another long corridor and knock on the door. The only thing I can hear is the wind rustling against the trees outside. I turn the doorknob and a chill goes down my spine. I walk into the large master bedroom and survey it. The TV is on mute, playing an old soap opera my dad loves. A coffee cup is lying on the ground, its contents spilled up to ten feet away. As my eyes approach the king-sized bed, I scream.
It is a blood-curdling scream that scares even me.
"What happened?!" Jennifer comes bursting in the room in her pajamas.
I point toward the bed as her eyes widen in horror. Sprawled across the bed is a fifty-year old man with a dagger through his chest and his clothes soaked in blood. This man, lying on the bed, is my father.
