Chapter 22

"Your parents house? Why? All of your stuff is at our house so why go back there? They haven't tried to contact you in any way! I know because I have... I have checked on them and it's like if you never existed!" Eren grabbed Levi's arm trying without noticing, he just wanted to keep Levi away from that place so so badly, but it seemed like his words didn't get through Levi.

"Do you think I fucking care? Just take me there I want to talk to them. Please Eren just this once." Levi shoved Erens hand off. All he wanted at the moment was space and to see his family. Maybe they could help him out a bit, if they cared enough.

The emerald eyed boy drove with uneasiness. He has never seen Levi act like this and everyone knows how much time Eren spent every day observing the live of his life. Maybe Levi has had enough of Erens shit. Well, considering what Eren has made him go through, it's no surprise that Levi would be acting like this. Oh how much Eren wishes to take back all the things he's done. Maybe that way, Levi would have fallen in love with his charming and good side.

"I bet Hanji and Erwin are worrying about you huh? They might already be at the hospital right now asking for you." Small talk in this situation wasn't the best option but it's better than horrible silence right?

"Mhm. I'll call them later." Like hell Levi will continue this shitty small talk. He didn't have time for that. He had to think of more ways to get away from Eren and his best option right now wouldn't benefit him at all. His uncle could get him away from everything. Levi shouldn't have asked Eren for help. Who know, Eren could go back to an insane psycho at any moment and take Levi back to the woods. This really wasn't a good idea.

When they finally arrived, Eren parked the car and unlocked the doors. He really did not have a good feeling about this. Everything just seemed weird and off. Well he had to deal with it.

"Jeager-"

"Please don't call me by that name. Everyone refers to my father by that name."

"Fine. Eren, could you stay in the car? I would like to talk with my parents in private."

"I would rather not leave you alone but fine. Promise me you won't leave forever. Please I want to stay by your side." He grabbed the Ravens hand gently. Erens eyes were so clear and almost innocent. For a moment, Levi forgot about all the things Eren did you him. It was as if nothing bad ever happened. But the pain in Levi's arm reminded showed him otherwise. But what could he do now? Make Eren go through the same pain? No that's not an option for now. Levi had to remain calm for everything to do smoothly.

"I promise Eren. I don't have any intentions on leaving you," he's such a good liar, "but if you ever try to hurt me or anyone else I will do something that you will not like. Okay?" And with that, Levi got out of the car leaving Eren all alone. Levi didn't even know if his parents were home.

When he knocked on the door, Levi expected his mom so answer but is uncle opened the door.

"Where the hell have you been all this time? When I finally come back to you I find out that you dropped out of school and left with some idiot. What in the living fuck were you thinking?" Levi pushed his way through and shut the door.

"First off, I didn't want to drop out and run off with him. I can't explain the whole story right now so where's my mom?" He sat down on the couch not waiting for a response from Kenny.

"Ah well about that. Your adopted mom kind of uh... Passed away. I came back to tell you but you weren't here. So because you're under age I have to take care of you."

"She... She what?!" He stood up abruptly. His eyes were wide open, full of shock. How did it happen again? Why did it happen again? Kenny didn't allow Levi to process the news.

"Your dad went missing in England while taking care of some business and your mom died in France while visiting your mother's grave. I got the news a week ago and came back to take you with me. Your dad is probably dead as well so the police hasn't bothered searching for him." Kenny saw how Levi's face became more and more pale.

"No not again. You think it's them again? What do they want now? I have nothing to give them."

"Don't worry we're going to leave this place tonight or tomorrow. Leave everything you have and say goodbye to your friends."

Even stood outside, his ear against the door.

No! There's no way I'm going to let anyone hurt or take my love away! I'll protect him.
