Here Again Chapter 25

It's been so long. So long since Levi has seen France. The streets the lights, even the smell was different. Oh, how much Levi wished they would go to Paris, but going there was too risky. Paris is a huge city, it would be risky to go there. A small town or village had to do for now. Of course, Kenny knew where they were going, but he didn't say a word to Levi. Kenny told him it was a 'surprise,' and that he would "love it!" When it came to surprises, Kenny really wasn't the best.

They were in a cab going god knows where. Seems like the driver and Levi's uncle knew each other. They were chatting nonstop. Trees were the only thing Levi could see. For once in a very, very, very long time, Levi felt free. He didn't have to worry about Eren. Didn't have to worry about when he was going to lash out and hurt someone. Erwin and Hanji were safe now. Eren wouldn't hurt them. Well, he might hurt Erwin, but Erwin is a tough guy; he could handle Eren. Still, Levi can't help but worry. He just left all of his friends without saying a word. What are they thinking right now? Erwin and Hanji are probably thinking that Eren kidnapped him again. He hasn't heard anything from Petra and the others for such a long time. Have they forgotten about him? Well, that wouldn't be so bad. After all, who knows when Levi will go back. Or how much longer will they let him live. 

"Hey Levi, we're here. What  neat surprise right?" Kenny and Levi both got own from the car. They stopped at a small village house. Not many people lived here so it was good enough, for now at least. Kenny made Lei follow him inside the house. Apparently, the place was already furnished am there were. The rooms also had clothes and everything they needed. Levi flopped down on his bed with a big sigh.

I wonder for how long will we be staying here. I don't want to leave. This place is so far from the city and everything it feels so nice. Ah, it's been so long since I've felt like this. So calm. I'm so glad to be far away from Eren. Even if he were to come to Europe, it would be almost impossible for him to find this place. The people here don't seem all that bad so we won't be bothered. Honestly what a fucking mess. I never thought I would be back here. I wonder if Mikasa also move. I'm sure knows what's going on.

Levi heard a knock coming from downstairs. Probably one of the neighbors. He went downstairs only to see three people huddled in front of the window. He ducked down low enough so they couldn't see him. Apparently Kenny decided to go out without caring to tell Levi.  "Dammit. What do I do?" He decided to go check if there was anyone in the back. IF there was no one, he could maybe make a run for it. 

I'm overreacting. It's probably the neighbors wanting to say hi. But what if  its them. What if they already found us. I can't risk it. If it were the neighbors, they would have left already. this isn't good. Knowing how Kenny is, there must be a weapon I can use. No, I can't search for it know. I'll have to make a lot of noise. Fuck it , I'll just grab a knife from kitchen and open the door. 

 Levi went to the kitchen, grabbed a knife, then slowly walked over to the front door. They were still outside. He had such a bad feeling about this, but he also had a feeling that he couldn't escape from it this time. Levi slowly opened the door and saw a couple with a kid about Levi's age. They stared at each other for a long time. Levi hid the knife from them and asked what they wanted. The women, about thirty years old, smiled and handed him a paper. The kid was looking away, uninterested. It seemed like his parents made him tag along. The man, who seemed to be thirty as well, gave told Levi that there was going to be a little 'party' or get-together later in the week. Levi thanked them fro tell him about it and shut the door. 

God I'm a dumb ass. They just wanted to invite us. Well, we can't never be too careful. right.

He chuckled a little and went back to his room.

Meanwhile, Eren was already trying to figure out where Levi might have gone to. It felt horrible. Not having his love by his side. God it felt like he was going to die, but Eren can't do that just yet. He had to save Levi. Something was wrong, but Eren didn't know what. Who could be after Levi. He was harmless. So kind. So nice. So beautiful. So attentive. So intelligent. Levi was everything for Eren. How could Eren let Levi go just like that? How?! He finally had him! They were happy! Eren was trying to be a better person and that Kenny guy ruined it! Eren could have protected Levi. He knew he could. He should have fought more. Tried to convince Levi. Try to make him stay or go with him.

Why!? We were so close to being together forever! Levi was finally accepting me. He almost fell for me. Just a few more months and everything would have been fine... Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Now what!? How am I suppose to find him?! The only thing i know is that he's in France. Is he in Paris? Lyon? Nantes? Dijon? We could be anywhere. I have to concentrate. If I was being chased by people who wanted to kill me where would I go? A place full of people or a place with almost no people? I would choose a place difficult to find. So that would mean a place with little to no people. 

Eren was snapped out. He completely forgot that Armin and Mikasa were there with him. 

"What are you thinking about?" Armin asked.

"He's thinking about Levi." Mikasa responded, with an annoyed look on her face. She has never really liked Levi all that much.

"You don't have to look like that. I'm... I'm just worried, okay? I can't stand being separated from him for this long. I don't know where he is or who he's with or what he's doing or what he's thinking about or what he's wearing. I don't know anything!" Eren sighed. HE really was frustrated.

"I get it. You're worried, but give the guy a break. Levi has been with you day and night for how much time? Two months? Three? Four months? Just leave him alone and look fr someone else. He isn't the only person out there you know."

" Yeah I know Mikasa. You have said that so many times, but try to understand. I love him and there is no one else I want. I'm sure you understand that feeling right?" Eren scooted closer to Mikasa. "So please, try to help me out. You too Armin. I can't do this by myself. I need as much help I can get. I can't let him run away." Eren gave them a small smile. Mikasa and Armin scooted away. For a split second, they saw how Erens' eyes changed to yellow. His eyes were saying murder while his mouth said only kind words. This wasn't Eren. This wasn't the Eren they knew. What happened to him? Was something else controlling him? Has he always been like this? If so, how come they never noticed? They were almost just like family. What happened to their friend, almost brother?
