I'll Never Say Goodbye Chapter 24

They arrived at the airport thirty minutes before the plane tool off. Eren made sure to go in five minutes after Levi and his uncle went in. He followed them but made sure he wasn't going to be seen. This is risky considering the fact that Kenny did threaten Eren. But how could he just let Levi leave like that? Eren had to do something before they left. What would he do with his love? All of this sacrifice for nothing? He cut off all the people he knew from his life, so so that he could be with Levi. But what now? He can't go back and say 'sorry about not talking to any of you in ages haha.'

Before Eren knew it, Kenny was already behind him, observing the way Eren tried to pinpoint where they were.

"Yo, who are you searching for?"

Eren jumped and looked up. Kenny was there with Levi just a few feet away. Well damn he wasn't as good at hiding as he thought he was.

"I... I can't let you separate us. Levi and I belong together and if you don't let him stay then I'll go with you. That's the only way it can be." Eren said in a stubborn way which really, really pissed off Kenny.

"Look, an outsider like you shouldn't be getting into our family business. Unless you want to be hunted down and eventually killed. Anyways you should be more worried about your 'sister'. She's an Ackerman isn't she?" With that, he turned around and went to where Levi was.

Why would Eren have to be worried about Mikasa? What was going on with the Ackermans? What the hell was happening? Why did Levi have to leave? Eren couldn't do anything in a place like this. There was too many people around. For now Eren had to call Mikasa and check up on her. It's been so long since they last talked to each other.

Eren go his phone out and dialed Mikasa's number.

"Eren! Why haven't your called me?! Why haven't you returned my calls? Where are you?!"

"Mikasa are you okay? Look there's something weird going on with the Ackermans so I just wanted to make sure you were okay."

There was a long pause.

"Who told you that? No, forget that. Tell me where you are so we can talk about this."

"That's not important. Just tell me that you're safe. Please." For the first time in forever, Eren was worrying about someone other than Levi and himself. It felt strange to him for some reason.

"Yeah. I'm safe. I'm living with Armin right now. We're in Ireland." Mikasa responded.

"Ireland? What? Why Ireland? Why didn't you tell me you guys moved?"

"Don't you bullshit me right now! I did try to tell you! But you wouldn't pick up your damn phone and you never cared enough to tell us were you moved to! Everyone has tried to contact you but you just pushed us aside when there was no reason to!"

Eren stayed quite. What could he say? Everything that Mikasa said was true. He went as far as changing his phone number and blocking most of his friends. He couldn't fight back. He didn't fell like fighting back.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking clearly. You know how I can be. Please forgive me..."

"Asshole... Just don't do it again. You worried us."

"I'll go to Ireland. Just wait a bit."

"Wait Eren-!" He hung up and hurried to buy a ticket. Ireland wasn't all that close to France but that'll do. Plus, he got to be with his to Mikasa and Armin.

Eren looked back and saw Levi and Kenny leaving to the airplane. They weren't carrying anything. No baggage. No bags. Eren wanted to run after them and stop leave. And so he did just that.

"Levi wait!" He grabbed Levi's hand to get his attention.

"Come with me to Ireland. Please. You have to come. I beg you! Even your uncle can come with us but please, don't leave me." Erens words sounded desperate and hopeful. Levi had to say with him. Something told Eren that they were meant to stay together forever.

Levi stared down at him. Cold, blue eyes stared directly at wishful, emerald eyes.

"No."

Levi snatched his hand away and began to walk with Kenny again.

Eren just stood there. Completely silent and still. Such a simple, harmless word, made him go completely still. No maybe it wasn't the word. The way Levi said the word was what made Eren stayed still. It sounded to cold, tired, frustrated, and mad all in one. How Levi stared at Eren when he said it also made it so much worse.

Welp, in just a few more days Eren will be able to be with Levi again. That's all that mattered to him.
