Chapter 16

Sam
I woke up and I went upstairs looking for Evelyn. I couldn't find her so I went outside and saw her and Dean working on the impala.

"Hey Sammy", said Dean.

"Hey Sam", said Evelyn looking up at me. "You want a beer?"

"Sure". She handed me one and I smiled.

"So Dean was thinking about letting me drive baby sometime. Since I'm going to be apart of this team now".

"That's great Ev".

"Sam, Dean". I looked up and saw Cas.

"Who are you". Asked Evelyn.

"I'm Castiel an Angel of the lord".

"Wow an actual Angel. That is very cool".

"Evelyn this is Castiel. Castiel this is Evelyn."

"Nice to meet you".

"You too. Um I have a question for you".

"Okay what is your question?"

Would you happen to know if my mom was in heaven. She passed away a few days ago because of a demon".

"I can check. What is her name?"

"JoAnn".

"Okay. I'll be right back".

"Are you okay Ev?" Asked Dean.

"I just want to know if her soul is in heaven".

"I'm sure it is", I said.

Cas came back and smiled.

"Her soul is in heaven she's with your father and they're both proud of you and told me to tell you Winchesters you better take care of her".

"That'd be my daddy", She chuckled. "Thank you so much Cas."

"Your welcome. I take it that your a hunter too?"

"Yes".

"Then we will all take care of you at your parents request".

"I feel so much better knowing my parents are together and happy".

"Hey Evelyn can I talk to you?" I asked.

"Sure".

We walked away from away Dean and Cas.

"Okay I'm just going to say this. I like you a lot Evelyn".

"How can you like me Sam?"

"I just do I don't know why."

"It's only been a few days".

"It's been building up since the last time I saw you two years ago. I know we weren't sober enough to really think about much but that first kiss we had just made my heart flip."

"Oh Sammy dear. I'm not the type of girl you'd want. You need to find a girl not in this life. It would never work out between us. This life is not good for us. I'll admit I do have something towards you but I don't think I want to act on them. I don't want you getting hurt because we're together".

"I'll take care of you. You know that".

"Sam it's not that. I know you will but I just don't feel like we need to act on these things."

"Kiss me and tell me we shouldn't try or at least think about it".

"Sam-". Before she could say anything else I kissed her and I lifted her up and placed her against the wall. She kissed back and she placed her hand on my chest and kept it there.

"Sam, Evelyn we gotta go there's a case". We pulled apart we'll have to continue this later", I said.

We all piled into the car minus Cas and drove. We were heading to a different park of South Dakota.
