Twilight's Last Gleaming

[currently unedited - if you see any typos / something's wrong please comment :)]

Bellamy had successfully taken Nia's mind off her father and her fried wristband. He'd rambled on about Greek mythology, not leaving out any minor details. She smiled at the man beside her, she watched as he moved his hands whilst passionately talking about a God that Nia couldn't even remember his name.

"You're not even listening." Bellamy whined, his grin still prominent on his face. At that moment he looked and sounded like a small child.

"I am." Nia replied, playfully shoving his shoulder. "Tell me more about Prometheus." Bellamy cleared his throat, ready to go on another descriptive rant when somebody outside called his name. "Prometheus will have to wait." He sent her an apologetic smile as he got himself up and exited the drop ship.

"There!" Jones pointed towards the sky for Bellamy to see. Nia had followed him out, wanting to see what all the chatter was about. She gazed up in awe as what looked like a pod came soaring into the atmosphere. "They're coming to help us. Now we can kick some Grounder ass."

"Please tell me they brought down some shampoo." A girl named Roma sighed, Nia scoffed and sent the girl a glare.

She looked up at Bellamy beside her, who was also watching the pod fall. His previous smile and happy expression was long gone as he stared at the sky with a nervous look. "This is good. We'll have a chance against the Grounders." Nia nodded to Bellamy, she knew he was uneasy about being reunited with the Ark and it's people, since they were in fact criminals.

"That's debatable." Bellamy mumbled back, taking a quick glance at the pod which was close to landing, and entering his tent.

Octavia was rounding up a group of delinquents, all eager to get to the pod and find out what they've sent down. "If it cleared the ridge then it's probably near the lake." One boy pointed out on his badly drawn map.

"We should get moving." Everyone geared themselves up at Octavia's words, as she entered her brother's tent. "Everyone's ready."

"No one's going anywhere. Not while it's dark it isn't safe. We'll head out at first light; pass the word." Bellamy ordered one of the teenagers beside him, who nodded and exited to inform everybody of the new plans. Octavia blocked Bellamy's path, confused at why he was so unwilling to go. "Everyone for a hundred miles saw this thing come down. What if the Grounders get to it first? Bell, we should go now."

The leader only shook his head, "I said we wait till sunrise."

Octavia huffed and left her brother alone in his tent. She joined Nia by her spot next to the fire, "we leaving yet?" Nia asked the girl who let out a frustrated groan.

"Bellamy wants us to wait until morning. It'll probably be gone by then..." Octavia kicked a small stone between her shoes.

"He just wants the camp to stay safe."

"Safe, huh?" Octavia scoffed, standing to her feet.

Nia copied her movements, "what?"

"He's leaving by himself." She nodded towards Bellamy who was currently sneaking out of camp. The girls followed Bellamy through the woods, making sure to stay far enough away from him so he wouldn't notice they were there. "I've had enough." Octavia muttered, before she ran out from behind the cover of the bushes and confronted her brother.

"Bellamy! What are you doing?" He looked at his sister, shocked that she was even there. Bellamy became more stunned when Nia appeared next to her.
