I must say. After all the paintings (self painted might I add) that I hung on my wall really lighten up the place. I do a 360 and admire what I've done with the place. I nod in approval. That only took an hour or 2. Okaasan is back now. She tried to stop me from rushing, but I didn't listen. Now I don't have anything to do until Monday.
I sigh and walk downstairs. I find my father is now up and watching some weird game show (I mean it is Japan after all). I glance away from the tv and to the front door. I smile and get an idea. I walk back to my room and grab my lucky hoodie.
I walk downstairs, "Hey, I'm gonna go on a walk, Okaasan, Dad." I say walking to the front door and putting on my outdoor shoes. "I'll be back later." I head out after I hear my parents' approval.
Outside is a bit brisk. Chilly even. I look around and start walking into town. It's a really big city, so I decide not to stray too far. The school, surprisingly, is only a mile or so away, so I decide to walk by.
The school is a lot bigger than I thought it would be. It's way bigger than the school I was formerly going to. I don't stay looking long, I mean there are people about. I walk away after observing the exterior of the building.
I end up walking to a coffee shop. It's small and actually quite nice. There is a used bookstore right next to it too. I walk into the bookstore first. I look around. There are piles of book on the floor and there's no one in here except me and the person behind the counter. It's peaceful actually. I walk around.
I go down a few aisles. Then a book catches my eye. The Princess Bride. Ichiru had this book. He used to tell me about it. I open the cover and see the impossible. On the inside, a name is written. Kirosaki Ichiru. I can't believe it. Does that mean Ichiru is here? In Kyoto? I take the book to the counter. I buy it.
Afterwards, I go into the coffee shop. I go to the counter and order a black coffee. No sugar or creamer or anything. The cashier looks at me confused but nods anyway . I go sit down at a table by the window and wait for my coffee. My name is called almost instantly. I get up and grab my coffee and mumble a "thank you" then walk back to my table.
I open the book to Ichiru's name again. I study it. Can it really be my Ichiru? Did I just say my? What am I saying? I shake my head and turn the page. I start reading.
