"I trust you..."

Welcome back! Decided to update since I have the chance! I hope y'all like it!

Yuichi let's tears dall from his eyes. He had missed Ichiru a lot through those years. Though he denied his feelings for him, he knew deep down that Ichiru would always have his heart.

"Why don't we go see Kaila today?" Ichiru's voice is soft.

Yuichi nods. He has been wanting to see her for a while now. It's been a while, and he thinks he's ready to take care of her on his own. Or maybe with the help of Ichiru.

Ichiru makes breakfast, toast and eggs, and they both eat and get ready. Yuichi puts on a light blue sweatshirt and a yellow beanie. Ichiru dresses in a casual sweater and sweatpants. Yuichi decides not to comment on how underdressed he is.

They leave. Yuichi insisted on walking, not wanting to be in the car for obvious reasons. The weather was fairly nice, nicer than it has been for the last few days.

At the hospital, Yuichi rushed to Kaila's room. Shes been doing so well lately that even the doctors are saying she would be able to go home with a loving family. But something bothers Yuichi. They want to put Kaila up for adoption.

"Its what's best for her." They say.

"No, she needs her family!her real family, and here it is! You have a loving family right here!"

"You cant take care of her on your own. She needs good parents."

"Shes got good parents right here!" Yuichi is shouting now. The ignorance of these doctors. "Me and Ichiru are more than fit to take care of her!"

"You're just a kid! And the fact that you're implying this child be influenced by two fathers and no mother?!"

The nerve! "I am taking Kaila home. Maybe you shouldn't judge people when you have their family. We're leaving and we're taking Kaila with us."

Yuichi picks up Kaila from where she was laying. This is only the second time he's held her. Shes so light and soft and warm. Yuichi could cry, but he can't. Not now. He grabs Ichiru's hand and they walk away. The doctors and security are trying to stop them, but Yuichi won't listen.

When they get back to the house, Kaila is asleep. Yuichi brings her to his bedroom and lays her down on his bed. He leaves her there with the door open and goes to the family room with Ichiru.

"Why did we do it?" Ichiru asks, seemingly more so to himself.

"Because she deserves a real family."

"You said we would be her parents.... did you mean it?"

"Of course I did. We've been with each other through thick and thin, I'm glad you chose me to love. We're going to start a family and we'll be okay. I'll get a job or two and still attend school, while you attend school and then stay with Kaila. We'll switch days for who stays when. We can do this."

"I understand, but maybe we should bring her back... just for a while, until we finish school.---"

"We can do this without help. Shes ours now. We have to take care of her."

They converse a bit more and eat. Ichiru takes a nap, while Yuichi stays up, watching Kaila. He loves her so much. He will be as good as he can be for her.
