Yesterday, I lost track and ended up reading half of the book and ginishing my coffee way too fast. I had to run home or else I would be in trouble for sure.
Today, I had to wake up early. It's my first day of school in Kyoto. I'm to attend Kyoto Gaidai Nishi High School. That's where my cousin attends as well. He's a year above me. As far as I know, we wont have any classes together.
I grab my uniform, which is really just a black suit. I put it on, struggling with the tie a bit. I rush downstairs and find Ma in the kitchen.
"Hey, Ma!" I say and grab a piece if toast, shoving it my mouth, "Gotta go, Ma!" I ramble with food in my mouth and rush out of the door.
IT'S F*CKING COLD OUT HERE IN THE MORNINGS!! I shiver slightly from the breeze. I had on my lucky hoodie, black jeans, and black converse, and the shirt I was wearing was a Tiny Moving Parts tee-shirt. Tiny Moving Parts is an American band, but I think they are awesome.
I look up into the sky. There are lots of clouds. Thats why it's so cold. I let out a sigh. I keep walking towards the school. I hope it'll all be okay. I wont know anyone in my year. Or will I? I still feel as though Ichiru might be hear in Kyoto. And based on the fact that his book was in this district, it's more likely that he is going to Gaidai Nishi. I blush slightly and shake my head, clearing out the thought of him.
~~~time skip~~~~
First period. Maths. Why does it have to be maths this period. I go to the back of the classroom and take a seat next to a window. I start to stare off into space, letting my mind go back to Ichiru.
"We have a new student in class." I hear the sensai speak. "Would you like to introduce yourself Susuki-kun?"
I stand up. My face beat red, "h-hai!" I walk up to the front if the class. As i walk, i look at all the staring faces, one catches my eye when I'm in the front. He looks stiffened.
"I-I'm Susuki Yuichi . . . I-I came from a small town called Hokkaido. T-that's all you need to know..." I look at the boy once more. He's writing in his notepad now. He doesn't look sad, more like... happy. I'll find his name soon enough. Why does he look so familiar? I walk back to my seat after being dismissed by the teacher. I continue to stare out of the window... and at Him.
~
The bell rings for class to end. I pick up my stuff and rush over to the boy. I don't want to miss him.
"U-umm... hello. I-I'm-" I start, but get cut off by him.
"I know who you are! You introduced yourself to the class!" He interrupts. "I'm Kirosaki Ichiru."
I stiffen. Ichiru?! "Oh... That's a nice name..."
"Yui-chan... Do you remember me?" He looks at me with his dark, space filled, blue eyes. "Please tell me you do..."
I do Ichiru! "Y-yeah... I do... I, umm... Actually..." I grab my phone out of my back pocket and show him the photographs in my case.
He blushes at the sight of them. "Y-you kept them?"
"Of cour-" the bell rings, signalling that we need to get to our classes ASAP.
"Oh! Bye..." He walks away and I go to my next class as well.
~~~~ time skip to lunch~~~~
I didn't have any other classes with Ichiru before lunch. I start walking to the cafeteria, but end up getting lost. I ended up in a hall full of lockers. I look down at the floor completely lost and not knowing what to do. I walk into someone.
"gomennasai!!" I say repeatedly picking up my stuff that I had dropped.
"Yui-chan! It's okay. Did you get lost already?" Ichiru says, lifting my face to look at him.
I blush slightly.
"Ah, I see that you still blush at the slightest of a touch." He smiles, I blush even more at the sight of his smile.
Godammit! Yuichi you are straight! You just confused back then! "S-sorry for bumping into you, Kirosaki-kun..."
"Ha! 'Kirosaki-kun'. Don't make me laugh! Its Ichiru."
"Sorry, Ichiru."
Ichiru grabs my wrist and starts walking, dragging me behind him. "We need to get some lunch."
"H-hai!" I nod and follow him quickly. He doesn't let go of my wrist until we get to the cafeteria.
"Stay close behind me. We're going to eat lunch together. To catch up that is." Ichiru says when we walk in.
I nod and follow him through the line and grabbing my lunch. He takes me outside to a table. We sit.
"So, Yui-chan... How have you been?" Ichiru says after a small moment of silence.
"I've been okay... How about you?"
"It's been pretty dull... Do you still play volleyball?"
"No.. It wasn't fun anymore after you left..." I blush at what I just said.
"Really...?" He smirks a little. "Hey, so... *sigh* w.... Why did you leave me? I know I moved... But you said we could make it work... Then you broke up with me..." I looks at his food.
"U-uh... I... Got bullied..." I look down as well, holding back tears. "They would all... Call me a fag... And they would push me around..." A tear falls. "I told them I was straight... That I didn't love you... That... I was just testing... I.... Even convinced.... Myself..."
The tears fall down my face, and won't stop. I try to wipe them away, but they just keep falling. I feel arms wrap around me. I cry even harder at how warm he is. I want to stay like this forever.
"Whoa... My love... My darling... I've hungered ... For your touch..." He's singing Unchained Melody. He remembered. He continues until I finally calm down. That voice... One of an angel... One from my dreams...
"Y-you... Remembered...."
"Of course... I wouldn't forget the love of my life's favourite song."
I can't help it. I turn and face him. I pull him so close to me and hug him. I hug him so hard that I feel as though I will crush him. I sob into his chest. "I'm so sorry!"
