Father/daughter day - George (request)

Your POV:

"Okay" I say "don't set the house on fire whilst I'm out"
"We won't" George chuckles looking at our daughter lily
"Don't make a mess" I instruct "I've just tidied the house"
"We won't mummy" Lily answers hugging me
"It's Daddy I was talking to" I laugh kissing George's cheek
"It's not like I've never done this before y/n" George replies smiling
"Yes, but last time I found you in the kitchen head to toe in flour" I sigh
"It won't happen again" he answers "now go or you're going to miss your train"
"Bye" I kiss his cheek
"Bye" he replies "don't miss us too much"

I hate having to work on a Saturday, I love my job but it's just so demanding. I want to be able to spend the weekend with George and our daughter Lily. I very rarely get to see George, he's always away touring. I know that it's important for Lily to spend time with George, but I'd like to spend time with them too. At least I don't have to work tomorrow.

George's POV:

"Are we going to listen to what mummy said?" I ask Lily
"No" she laughs running through to the kitchen
"Let's bake some cookies" I laugh

Your POV:

Half the day has gone and so far nothing has come out of this meeting. Everything always stays the same. Sometimes I'm attending meetings in Scotland, sometimes in London but no matter where the meeting is it always sucks and the results always stay the same. We get nowhere. I love my job, really, it's just the boring meeting I do not get and do not like. Luckily we don't have to partake in them very often. During a break I decide to text George

Me: how are things? x
George: good, stop worrying! x
Me: I can't help but worry x
Me: miss you :( x
George: miss you too ;) x
Me: are you having fun? x
George: yes, Lily is also enjoying herself x
Me: good! See you tonight! :) x
George: see you later. Love you! X
Me: love you x

After the meeting I get the train back home. Like I said, we got no final result. We never do, it never makes sense. I can't wait to get home and see George and Lily, I miss them so much whilst I'm away. At least tomorrow I get to spend the full day with them.

As I'm opening the front door I hear a lot of laughing. The house appears to be how I left it
"I'm home" I call
"Mummy" Lily screams running through from the kitchen dressed as a fairy
"Y/n, you're back early" George emerges from the kitchen wearing his pink shirt, a pink boa, fairy wings and a tutu
"Oh my god" I laugh
"What?" George asks
"This" I motion to him, continuing to laugh. I can't stop laughing at George dressed as a fairy princess.
"If we were going to bake fairy cakes we had to dress as fairies for authenticity" George explains, he's even got makeup on
"Is that my glitter eyeliner" I ask laughing still "and oh my god, you're wearing my lipgloss and blusher too"
"Real fairies wear makeup" he states
"We're real fairies mummy" Lily giggles
"I see that" I laugh "I hope the kitchen isn't too much of a mess"
"We tidied up this time" George replies
"Good" I answer "you should see how you look!"
"I don't want to see how I look" George chuckles "let's go eat our fairy cakes"

A/n: so thank you for this request! It's a super cute idea and I'm glad I got to write something like it. Sorry for uploading this so late, I've been a little distracted the past few days. I'm not sure if this turned out how you thought it would, but, I hope you like it.
