Rainy picnics and our places - Adam

I wake up to the sound of light rain. Just great I think. This is the first day Adam has off in a while and we were supposed to be going out for a picnic, but it decided to rain.
"You're up early" Adam mumbles waking up
"So are you" I reply
Our romance isn't a whirlwind but rather at a steady pace. Adam and I have been dating for almost two years  and I only moved into his flat about six months ago. Moving in with Adam has been much like living on my own whilst he's been touring, but now that the tour is over it has settled down a little.

When Adam is home he surprises me with little things. Whether it's going out or just staying in and curling up on the sofa with a movie. I wanted to do something nice for Adam, which is why I suggested a picnic but it decided to rain. Adam insisted on helping me with the picnic, and we were both looking forward to it.

"We can still go on our picnic" Adam says pouring coffee into a cup for me
"It's raining where are we supposed to go?" I asked
"There's this place I know but it's a short while away" he answers "it may not be raining there"
"Okay" I reply "I just need to put everything into the picnic basket"
"I can do that" he says jumping up

I pull my raincoat on before we leave the house. It may not be raining where we're going but it's definitely raining here, and if there's one thing I can't stand it's wet jeans.
"How far away is this place?" I ask
"An hour, maybe more" he replies smiling
"I hope it isn't raining there" I answer putting the radio on

"Oh my god your song's on the radio" I say turning it up "well I know when you're around cause I know the sound, I know the sound of your heart"
"They cut out my guitar solo" he pouts when the song is over
"How dare they?" I laugh "your guitar solo is the best part!"

"It's raining here too" I sigh
"Yes but" he says getting out the car "there's a sheltered part just through those trees there"
"I hate the rain" I sigh
"I know you do" he laughs "that's why we're going to a sheltered place"

We walk for about five minutes in the rain until Adam tells me to turn left.
"How much further?" I ask
"Go through the gap in those trees" he instructs
"Have you brought me out here to kill me" I laugh
"Just keep walking" he chuckles walking behind me "okay stop"
"This isn't sheltered" I reply
"No" he laughs "but up there is"
"How do you expect me to get up there?" I ask looking at the treehouse
"We climb" he answers
"Seriously" I pout
"No, not seriously" he continues laughing "there's a ladder around the other side of the tree"

"It's actually dry in here" I say once we're in the treehouse "how did you know about this place?"
"I've been here a few times" he answers "and of course it's dry, I told you it was sheltered"
"How long since you were last up here?" I ask unfolding the picnic blanket
"A few years ago" he answers "I camped with some friends"
"Oh" I say
"High school friends" he continues "I haven't brought anyone up here who I've dated, if that's what you were wondering"
"It would be fine if you had" I answer "they would've had every right"
"They wouldn't" he explains "this is one of my places which is why I'd never brought someone up here. Until you, because I didn't just want it to be my place. I wanted it to be our place"
"Adam Hann you are possibly the sweetest person I've ever met"  I answer kissing him
"I love you y/n and I want to spend the rest of my life with you" he answers "I want to show you all of my places so that we can share them"
"I love you too Adam Hann" I answer "and I'd also like to show you my places so they can become our places"

A/n: one of my best friends suggested that I write an Adam imagine, so this is for you. Honestly all of my Adam imagines should be dedicated to you because you're probably the one who enjoys them the most :)
